Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey all long day is done. Cheryl and I had a great time this week catching up with you all and meeting a few we knew but had never met.
We met an owner of our car from 96-02 and while we were talking to him another guy walks up and he owed the car in the mid 80’s. He bought it from a friend who had bought the car from the original owner. We are going to talk again soon. Pretty neat that I have completed the ownership circle of the car.
We were selected for a celebrity judges pick. We’ll find out tomorrow if we won anything in our class. Tough class 35 cars all 67-69 Barracuda’s. We are always happy to show our car in a venue like this and humbled when we win an award.
Time to get cleaned up and go for dinner.

If you bump into a guy with a red 67 Barracuda fastback, tell him I said "Hi" to him and his son... His son was one of my roommates in college... Last name is Coughlin... :D

My country style ribs will be done in 6 minutes... The farm stand fresh corn, broccoli, and zucchini are all done... :D :popcorn:
 
We went to the opening day of our Farmers market this morning. I know, I know, it opens very late up here. Anyway first day of market for the summer. There were more alcohol tents then bakers tents! I found the mead tent and well you boys know the rest! I never left, Jodi was pissed! It was pointless to me, wandering from one dread locked tent to another. I sat down and BSd with the Mead owner. Good guy, retired Colonel AF. She picked me up on the way out, no sense of humor at all. She explained I could stay home next weekend, in my vain attempt at wit I explained I wanted to this weekend. Poor choice of response on my part! Day unraveled from there! Long live mead!

Riddle me this.

On the drive thru PA, I averaged 19.2 mpg there, 19.4 mpg back,

But in Ohio and Indiana, I got 15.5 there, 17.0 back?

Running 80 the entire way? Except for the part on the way back on route 30 in PA

Elevation. Uphill from your place to PA and downhill back. It changes more than people think.

i was thinking that but
I filled up in Pittsburgh on the way out. Filled up in Carlisle before I left and refilled in Pittsburgh. So essentially I got 19 mpg in the mountains but in the flat and downhill in Ohio, I got 17.

Then filled up in Cincinnati otw back and it had dropped to the 17.0z

The 15.5 I know came from hitting rush hour traffic in columbus yesterday but I hit zero traffic today.

I made the trip from my place in PA to Cincinnati several dozen times. I always got better MPG going back to Cinncy. In the mountains of PA you get the advantage of hyper milling. More so going west than east.
 
Quality of gas also. I can notice a difference in the 3 different stations that we have here. One is all PA oil. (I get the best mileage with this one. One is a grocery store that offers points for the groceries you buy. My mileage will drop a minimum of 3 miles to the gallon. The other is a Sheetz which has comparable to the PA gas but still has a poorer quality gas

I noticed Pa was 35 cents higher per gallon, would make sense if it’s higher quality
