The gathering of pre '76 Ford pickups at the Santa Maria Inn.
Lucky I found this photo in the paper, every bloody time I went by there the trucks were covered up due to impending fog. One club from NorCal and one club from SoCal have been doing this gathering for 50 years with many different meeting places midway between the SF Bay and LA.

If you put all of the motor mount bolts in from the front with the shafts facing rearward, then put/slide the motor mount ears over the shaft/stud part from the rear it's much easier... That's how the factory did it...

All them years I worked around big earth movers and rock plants, no hard hat, no problems. Put that hard hat on, I hit every low hanging beam, door frame, shaker, you name it. :rofl:

I don't think so. Or at least very slight. I certainly don't feel great, but OK. Was at work and it is documented in case... It hurt, but otherwise no issues.
Was not 'disoriented' or anything like that. ​
Near end of shift and I just kept working.

A bump cap may have helped this time, but yes I have had similar experience using them. In this case it was required use of a harness (that I really did not need) that I feel contributed …. I was using scissor lift and parked with corner slightly under a doorway in block wall so I would be closer to outlet to plug in. Was getting back on. I knew the wall was there and I cleared the bottom corner
as I stood up. But then bent down trying to get my harness situated.​
When I came back up forgot how close I was. I turned and hit side of my head against the flat of the block. While it was not the harness that caused it, If I hadn't been using a harness it likely never would have happened.

So teaching class yesterday I needed students to line up for some practical work. In my infinite wit, I use a George Carlin bit from the Toledo window box. I tell them "you tall guys behind the trees,you short guys behind the rocks".... Nothing but crickets, I ask for a show of hands of anyone that knows who George Carlin is, yep not even a single hand not even from the adults. Man I felt old!

My son, who will be 29 next month, loves Carlin. What he didn’t realize till recently, was that he had been watching him since he was a toddler on Thomas the Tank. Lol
