I should too, plant beets, then i can fill my freezer with deer meat. They love beets. They must have a good sense of smell, they keep chewing the neighbours beets.

Last year when we were in vegas we did a hoover dam tour, lake was very low.did a tour boat ride and i think it was almost 30 feet below normal. Could see the water line, it was way up.

Hydroponic Green house, cheap, very effective. At least on a small scale. I tried it a couple years back and it went nuts, had more tomatoes than I could manage, ended up killing it off on purpose. I'd only tried tomatoes and lettuce, both did very well. Peppers did ok until the peppers got too heavy and broke the plant. I think I maybe had 60 bucks in mine. But I made 140 quarts of Tomatoe juice and 20 quarts of salsa before calling it quits

My Dad was on the leading edge of Hydroponics, he had a small greenhouse in the late 70's. Grew all kinds of stuff in there..
 
He had baths set up with the liquid, and pumps and returns to the bath with timers. Ha I had no idea what he was doing then

lol, yeah. I plan to re-do mine here in a couple weeks. my garden didn't survive the wild weather we had this summer and spring

Fall crops.
I'm already on it knowing that failures are likely.
I put some lettuce seeds in a spot with afternoon shade a few days ago. Prob still too hot. I'll try again in week.
Spinich and other greens when its a little cooler.
A few things can survive, even get better when cold.

I'm not sure on how long the summer stuff will keep producing so its hard to plan to reuse that space. But I set up a couple large pots by an old stump. So they need to get filled.

Also, today Home Depot had a bunch tomato and pepper plants they're now putting on sale. I almost bought a couple. That would instant late summer garden.
 
Geez louise,

I just looked at my friend's Facebook, I am glad I don't have Facebook anymore.

I just can't believe how many people posted their ugly little kids for the first day back to school today.

Easy people with the little gremlins
