Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning from McD's again. Tercel's being worked on. Wheel bearing (I hope!) making noise, and getting new struts. You know they are bad when coworkers mention seeing the car bouncing along.

Last night I waited on three big-wigs from FCA having a site-inspection dinner. They had been with Chrysler since before Cerberus. One guy was very interested in FABO and put the site into his phone. I said "we miss the pentastar" and they said they miss it too, but that it is part of the headquarters building and the only way to remove it would be blow up the top of the building.

Anyways since the hotel was paying, I ran their bill way up, I'd have been a fool not to.
Good morning David You get to meet some of the coolest people bro
I hope you don't have a long wait today on your car, how long will you be at McD's ?

Never got a DUI. Last ticket was last year in the speed trap at the bridge up by Hops. It's a 45 over the bridge and for a short distance after. I may have been doing a little over 50, but he said 65. I am sure he actually clocked a truck that had just passed me. Was a week or so before I started my new job, so didn't want to ask for time off or I would have challenged it...
Oh Man #-o seems they can find the good guys to get there quota for the week..
I got called into work to prep an O.R room and bring the humidity down ... I drove up to a red light that has always been a yellow flashing light and just did what I always do.. Stop and make my turn, I was in work mode and just dun what came naturel and drove on threw not a sole in site, he was setting in a office building parking lot and wrote me up. 1987 I think :glasses7:

Thanks Mike, these Chrysler people were very cool and friendly.

I'll wander over to the public library when it opens at 10. Usually this shop gets the work done by lunchtime but if it takes all day I don't care, so long as they fix the car. What I don't want is a phone call saying I need a new transmission. I love this little car, I named him Rudy, from the movie about the undersized high school football player who kept playing no matter what.

They do but I have my backpack (secret Santa NiteMoves gave me) with my laptop, a book, some jerky and m&m's, and water. I think you'll enjoy making your own beer. My sister makes it for the holidays. Make sure you seal the bottles real well.

It sure is nice that Spring is almost here so we can be outdoors. It's beautiful here today.

I saw this before heading to work this morning and could not respond, so I had to try to find a way to respond because I felt maybe I overstepped my bounds with Ray. I made the comment in response to his previous comment and intending to be funny maybe I wasn't. I consider Ray or Halifaxhops to be a friend who I have met on here and have a great respect for. In no way was I trying to degrade or put you down Hops. In the friendly banter over "my" knife and other things I felt I had gained the "right" to say such a thing. I hope there are no hard feelings.

Here you go Mike! Our mild morning gave way to a blustery afternoon.

First a pic of "Rudy." My sole transport for 2 years now, 39.5 mpg, 5-speed, fun to drive and plenty of imperfections so a new scratch now and then is not a big deal.

Next, since it's still not quite time for the azaleas and other blossoms, I thought our beautiful trees deserved a few pics. Live Oaks are everywhere here, their strong and curving wood was used in ship building. "Live" oaks are called that because unlike most deciduous trees, they don't lose all their leaves at any given time, so they are always green.

A few more random shots of other trees and the beach, it was not really the best weather for pictures, but biking around was a good stress reliever. Oh by the way, the Tercel had a noisy wheel bearing replaced at no charge, because the bad one was just put on a few months ago, must have been defective. Such a relief to get that taken care of. I got new struts and tires too, what a difference.

Hey !! Where is everybody ?? Did I go to the wrong Coffee Shop??

hello, I finally made it back from putting out the garbage yesterday.... LOL!

He picked me up accidentally with the can, I got dumped in the back of the truck, then had to ride along to the dump until he unloaded, then walk all the way back home.... LOL!!!

No, I got so busy after getting the garbage out, then had to get ready for the funeral. Now it's all over and we can get back to our routine again. What a shitty way to spend my spring break week off school....
