Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hm,... I guess i answered my own question. It is a Sylvania SilverStar bulb, and on those it seems to say Performance on the glass under the Sylvania name. So, it seems it is a regular bulb, not even halogen. But, maybe a little whiter light than it was out of the factory in 1965.

I'm running Nighthawks. Have really only been out in the dark with it a few times, but thought they were great. Giving them full power via relays and (IIRC) 12gauge wire helps a lot with light output too.

Yes, I am 99% sure it is these. That is what came on the car. I have not been out driving in the dark with the car yet. So not seen how they work. Still not done with the steering wheel.

Nighthawks are from GE, right ?

I know if they are mr. Norms but I do know they are "6 barrel" on a Plymouth and "6 pack" on a dodge.

Might be "tri power" on a Pontiac

They at least correctly have the accelerator pumps on the outboard carbs for the mechanical linkage to open the secondaries...

Many people try to open the secondaries on a vacuum secondary carb mechanically and wonder why it bogs....

*****n work... :mob:

I almost choked to death on my first break when eating a granola bar and trying to wash it down with some gatorade.... Had to cough up the gatorade to open my air passage back up and be able to breathe again... I couldn't get the food to go all the way through and could feel it still in the bottom of my throat... I then bought a pop from the machine and tried to wash it through with some pop and choked again... I coughed up the pop and then packed up my things and found the supervisor and told him that I almost just choked and still had some food stuck in the back of my throat, and he told me to go to the medical clinic...

So I go to the clinic and they took some x-rays and didn't find anything conclusive... I got the note from the doctor proving that I was at the clinic during that time and gave it to my supervisor when I returned to work 3 hours later...

Today they call me into the plant manager's office and I have to explain to two managers and the supervisor why I did not punch out when I left to go to the clinic... :wtf:

I said, when I have something still stuck in my throat and not sure if I will be taking my last breath, punching out to go to the clinic is the last thing on my mind.... :realcrazy:

Breathing is more important to me... :icon_fU:

I had to throw it back at them and ask them what another worker said yesterday, "why didn't you drive me or have someone ride with me to make sure that I made it to the clinic safely and not choke again and pass out on the way"... Crickets.... :poke:

These are the GM 3 Duces on a 283/327 Offenhauser Aluminum Intake.

Believe the 65 GTOs with the 389 engines used the same GM Carbs on their Tri-Power.

I have my maintenance done for the day, just rounds in the engine rooms and a wonderfully boring watch. I dont like exciting watches, means something broke and I have to fix it.

What are you doing with those brand x intake and carbs.... :mob:
They are not pretty like mopar units.

Most people think I am nuts when I say that engine parts can be either ugly or pretty. But I do believe that and I have always found mopar engine parts to have a pretty and finished look.

GM always has a crude look about it

Found them at a really good price in Florida 4 years ago, guy took them off a 350 in a 57 chev and put on the good running 1406 Edelbrock in their place. He just wanted to get rid of them and clean out his garage.

Just about stole them. My cousin when I was 15 years old had a 65 GTO with the 3 Duces, can still remember him opening up the secondaries on that one when going for a ride, Powerful Experience.

Keeping these on hand to honor that memory, that was the start of the muscle car era for me.

Thunderstruck by Steve'n'Seagulls

(A different twist to AC/DC's Thunderstruck)

The Comments for this youtube video are just awesome, if you can get to them.

I bet you can't play thunderstruck on a banjo.
Redneck: "Hold my beer"

What do you do for a living? "I play the anvil in a hard rock cover band."

Remember folks, there is no electricity involved here. Pure talent.

I clicked on this for the hat guys, but stayed for the music, WOW veerrry impressed keep it up really good!

If you boys ever need another anvil player I got your back.

Amazing entrance! Laughed so hard when the accordion player rocked up!

Guys all I'm saying is we need more anvil.

Dude on the banjo rocks!!! Awesome

Funny I played my banjo about an hour ago.
That guy can flat play.

Cool you play the banjo !

I can strum 3 chords on the guitar and that's about it.

Have fun with it though, pick it up every once in a while. Different beats to the chords and a little picking too.

Makes me appreciate the people that can really play, they are called musicians. Lol . .
