It’s a real possibility if Craig is willing to sell me the 3.55. I won’t need the 3.91 anymore.

Hello. Not to hijack but that's the gear ratio I have in my 8.25. It's open, was wondering what's out there for a posi, any suggestions?

You need the LSD chunk to replace the one-legger.

FYI....Posi is not part of the Mopar world...limited slip is! Posi is a GM term.

Great. Now everybody wants to be on LSD...
Limited Slip Differential that is:thumbsup:

Yep, I've made that mistake before and on this forum, have both in my Chevy now. I guess that's why I get it mixed up, have a clutch pack LS in the front and a lock rite in the rear (it will ratchet around corners but locks 100 percent on throttle). Anyway, I figured I need to replace the carrier, just want to make sure that in that gear ratio a limited slip is available, factory or aftermarket and what's good and made by who?

So 4 and 4... 8 hemis. Got it
Close: class rules are, per chassis.

4 Top Fuel Hemis
4 Big block Chrysler’s, supercharged
5 Super Charged Big block fords
5 Super charged Big Block Chevys
3-Allision Aircraft engines or Rolls Royce Merlin in-line air craft engines
2- jet engines.
3- helicopter turbines

Superchargers are limited to 14-71s and engines can make no more than 1000 hp per cylinder or equivalent in rotary or jet engines. Tractor must weigh 7500 pounds or less with driver and full fuel

Forgot 3 ducks in a pail of water:lol:

You might get a zero dollar swap!
Maybe...but I’m thinking I have it backaswards. He probably had a 3.91 and is switching to a 3.55. I’m too tired to search back and try to figure it out. I sent Craig a PM.

If he is getting rid of the 3.91, then you will be the beneficiary.

I was out looking at the headlamps on my old car, and it says Sylvania on the glass, and just under it it says Performance. I tried to google them, but no luck. They have High Performance today, which is Halogen.

Does anyone happen to know the difference ?

The glass looks kind of like this:

Advance Auto Parts - Down for Maintenance

Hm,... I guess i answered my own question. It is a Sylvania SilverStar bulb, and on those it seems to say Performance on the glass under the Sylvania name. So, it seems it is a regular bulb, not even halogen. But, maybe a little whiter light than it was out of the factory in 1965.

Seems pretty nifty. I wonder how durable that setup is?

It is slick, transfers torque at a rate of up to 9:1, good for off-roading and also good road manners. When I found out about it they were rare and or discontinued, the shop had one but he was way too proud of it. Supposed to have been strong, dunno, never ran one.
