Its FRIDAY!

I did a service on it in feb, said it needs brakes.
Now it shows up with grinding and crunching....

Looks like a mini road trip today with Ron down to the state line area to get his BIL. And also pick up a electronic tool box I won on a auction, really just want the soldering tools in it.

Looks good Ray!
I get what you are saying about the glove thing.
The detail work is difficult enough without gloves. I rebuild carbs wearing nitrile gloves.carb cleaner is too toxic.i adapt. Magnetic screwdriver, forceps and whatever.
Thanks guys. Got lucky with that one. He wanted a really hard to find number and No one makes those tags for a clone. I actually had that one with the right date code. Dam thing is pretty much all nos but the date coded housing. Just a ***** not to stain the aluminum on those doing a 100 point one. I charge though for that!

Get you some of those thin white cloth hypoallergenic gloves. Those are real thin and you can actually work in them. Kitty uses them because she get psoriasis on her hands from time to time and has to put special cream on them and then the gloves.

You should charge for all of it. It's your time. It's your machine. It's your knowhow. I really like the one you did for me. It's real nice. I may want another one......OR what if I send you one? Can you curve it like you did the one I got from you?

Rob I can do whatever with mopar distribs. Did a really different one a bit ago for a guy wanted a mopar electronic in a early point housing locked up. no vac advance and full 28 at 1000 rpm. Somehow pulled it off and still looked like a point dstrib with a oil fill cup. Now that was different. Getting a ton of referrals from people I met/sold to at Carlisle. Absolutely amazing what I get asked for and usually have or find. Seems like a bunch of people doing 440-6 cars lately have 13 on the want list for dual points, just cant find them under stupid money for cores $500+ Have not done a for the shelf distrib in months. Really need to get on a bunch of slants. I actually added up how many distribs I have in the shop. over 900 right now that are good cores. For every ten I get 3-4 are only good for internal parts.

Yep. They were and used them in big cars through 66.
I have one in a 66 fury. I am still not sure what to do with.

It was rebuilt around 1995 according to the previous owner. I have not tried to get it started though, but I am thinking it might be fun.

Good Morning All! Blood draw this morning, annual. Wish I got vampire liberty for it! Then off to work TGIF!!!

Morning folks. A little chilly this morning. I put on a long sleeved t shirt. Damn that hot coffee is tasty.

8 3/4?
Bring them to a shop that's done 'em before.
Used to be every parts store would do it.
Rare parts store that can do 'em now.
Last time I brought them to an automative machine shop.

Ohhh. Good Morning Sure Grip Gang

A buddy is heading to Kansas City today. He has a 71 Charger that he is going to trade for a identical 71 Charger project car. Both are 440 cars but the project car is a 4 speed/ Dana car, has been painted, new interior and tons of new parts. He will trade to a older gentleman that wants a turn key driver and Terry gets $15,000 to boot. He can use that cash to finish his 73 Roadrunner project. (that one was his uncles car. It gets a 408 stroker and a 4 speed) Sounds like a no brainer.
