Good Morning folks, last big local show of the year today. Entered the Jalopy to get another Mopar in the mix and slum the place up a bit. Went last year without the car, can recall less than a dozen pre 76 Mopars out of 300 plus cars. Will get the smug and snide looks but that’s part of the fun!

Pics please, hopefully more Mopars this time around. Represent!

Doing a show here today.
Good Morning

Picked up that tool set yesterday, was a lot more tools in there than I thought. All I wanted was the soldering iron set. Man that place is huge 54 truck bays full of surplus. It is in one of those truck loading places takes up 2/3 of it. Pretty funny see this guy loading a Hyundai up with backpacks, three pallets worth of stuff. Shoving them into every nook and cranny he can. Talk to him he is from Alabama. Said he will easily make five grand on just one optional part that he was also shoving in there. Reminded me of the guy that bought Mitches tire machine.

When the new darts came out in like 2014 my parents made a deal that they would buy me a brand new car, probably a new dart or a 6 cylinder challenger. IF I got rid of my old cars either by sale or recycle. I refuse to let them go, so it turned into a rebellion because I had to prove I can make those old cars as dependable as a new one.

I have had to do roadside repairs because I refused to call them and admit i was broke down. So I just had to make it work.

Luckily slant sixes are pretty dependable as is. I upgraded to electronic ignition and I have an OD 833. The manual transmission comes in handy when you have to pop the clutch and start the car that way LOL. ......it happens

I have had good luck with a good ol small block with electronic ignition and a 4 bbl carb with electronic choke for dependable daily drivers...

I had a 68 Barracuda fastback that I put a 318 in it and drove it for 300,000 miles and did all the repairs myself...

Except for the body work when a deer ran into me once...
