Waiting for a cobalt to replace fuel filter. Meanwhile a ford truck shows up with a fuel pump driver module issue. Scanned, pulled module, replaced it and hes shocked that its fixed. And no show for cobalt..
Made more money fixin thefird anyway.

At least enough to water this dead brown grass... News said yesterday was our 33rd day over 90F this year. Average 25 of them.
Good Morning
We had seven, hit 100 once. Weird summer, lots of rain.

I am glad Americans are smart when my English is bad. Like in the station wagon thread when I don't know the name of it, and call it either "what do you call it, or dingedongies". That is when I hope someone is smart enough to figure out what I am talking about. Because it is always a relief when someone comes back and tell me what I am talking about. Most of the time it works, or at least after a few more what do you call it and dingedongies.

TJ will make it happen. Or cobble together a tool to make it work.. Or just cuss at long enough that it gives up and lets go!

I realize he will, one way or the other. But I was thinking about getting it loose without having to take the engine apart or out of the car. So he could get the head on and try to start it.

He said, he was going to try his Air Hammer, on the top of the piston, while it is still in the engine. He said he will make a wooden disc to fit the bore, so he does not damage the piston surface. I like that idea, I should have done that on my 383 GTS engine, that was froze up....

Put ratchet on it with a long bar.
Wont even twitch.
Some yollup put a chain on the motor mount and bent it.
So i pulled that out and took the 90 degree bend out of it with the press.
Put the magnum wheels on the front,at least its got wheels.
Two broken wheel bolts on right side, fresh breaks so forgot about left hand thread.
Im going to visit the machine shop to have him build me a plate to push on piston.

I guess you could also then alternate between the stuck one and the others so that you can apply pressure both up and down on the stuck one and maybe rock it free?

Long time ago I put a 3x3 or 4x4 "wood" on top of the piston and used a sledgehammer on the other end of it. But, this one was not entirely stuck, so I could turn it a little, until it hit that stupid spot. So, when the piston stopped, I continued pulling the crank over in the same direction until it did not come anymore. Then hit the piston, then turned the crank that little I got, hit the piston again, and continued until it was loose. But, I had it moved the other way several times to get diesel fuel down so I got some lubrication before I continued.

It was after that episode a guy told me next time to use gun oil.

By the way, can you get new parts for this engine, like pistons and rings, bearings and so forth?

Bill

I just got about the best phone help from Verizon that I can recall since moving to Pa. :)
Ironically it was to clear the way to transfer my phone number to another service.
The online 'chat' person actaully gave me a good number that got a human in less than 2 minutes and without a bunch of dumb questions.
The best part was when asked why I was leaving, I told her I was done with the misrepresentations etc - and she said she understood. (ah maybe)
Then of course at the end she has to say "Thank you for using our services, etc." LOL
Still 100 times better than a previous call where I said I just wanted phone, no internet, and at the end of the call, the guy has to read the script trying to get me to buy TV service. :BangHead:

Working on a busted casement window from an early 20th cent house.
Hinges have the Stanley Works logo. Kindof fun to see. At least if you're into wood working tools. There's a version of this logo used on Stanley tools in the 1920s reflecting the merger of the two Stanley company companies.

Yes.
There is a runner in virginia that i could have, but its a little (lot) far away.

Hard as rock with the occasional sand wash crossing and dusty ALL the way. Let's not forget the washboard since they only grade the road once a year
Well, just got back, Yep the "road" was F'ed up for sure. Horrible for 10 miles.... Rocks, washed out, washboard and dusty....and steep hills. narrow, 4X4 road. Just what I needed. F'ed up the left front wheel on my truck. Scraped a rock:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:
