Stop in for a cup of coffee

Where have you been?
Hey Mike!
Since last time I showed up - which was very brief in deed - I've been studying. I'm in this compact university program to complement my engineering degree with pedagogy to become a teacher. Three semesters in one year. Pretty hectic but a lot of fun!

Hey there stranger! How ya doing?
Hey! Not bad! I hope that goes for you too?

Whoa?! I didn't expect that!
I'm very well, thank you! I hope the coffee thread has survived without me. I used to be a regular but dropped out a (good) while back. My name is Anders and I am in deed in Sweden.
Hey!!! Long time no see! How’s things

Och jag heter Bill och är från Norge. Men bor i norra Kalifornien. För många år sädan gikk jag på AMU centeren i Övertorneå i Norrbotten. När jag pratar med Ulf (Andersson) på Facebook så försöker jag nu skriva på Svenska, jag är mycket rostig.

(And my name is Bill and I am from Norway. But lives in northern California. Many years ago I studied in Ôvertorneå in Norrbotten county in Sweden. When I talk to Ulf Andersson on Facebook I have started typing in Swedish, but I am very rusty.)

Men så morro! Vi är i Norge ibland, nära Sandefjord. Hyggelig å treffes!

That Starbucks I waited for this morning just didn't do it for me. Guess I'll have to augment it with some of my own blend
I can't wait to get to Viet Nam next week for some of that great " High Test " Coffee......They use a french drip, make it right at your table...Got pics somewhere.....

Look, I've got to prepare supper. I'll be back.

Just a quick announcement: I've bought a 400 block over there (a dumb thing to do without asking here first, I know!!) and a forged 440 crank and some stock 440 rods and pistons over here.

I'm building a 451 stroker to cram into my Dart '66!

Hey Chris!
Things are well!
Did I catch something about your grandmother a couple of pages back? No, I didn't read back but somehow I saw something.
yeah, she passed last night.

Glad to hear things are good with you though!

So, you visit Norway sometimes, in the other end from where I lived. Well, the world is not big. Ulf came to visit in Norway in 1989, and took pics of the 65 Dart station wagon I had then, and now when I live in California I meet him here on FABO, and he asks me do you know a fellow so and so from Senja in Norway, he had a red Dart station wagon. And I just had to cough up that it was me. :)

Oh I had so much fun with that 65 Dart. I have not had many traffic accidents or incidents in my life, but I drove off the road in the winter in Sweden in 1982, probably 15 meter meter out in the snow. Got hauled up and used an hour or whatever to get the snow out of the engine room, same thing happened in northern part of Finland, same car, also a left curve, just before Christmas on my way home to Norway. A rear wheel bearing broke on the same car in the winter in northern Finland, temps below 0 F, but every time I was prepared, good clothes, did not freeze. Funny that most of my incidents with that car happened in the winter, miles and miles away from people.

Now you do know that Luckenbach, Tx is less than an hour from where I live dont ya Ray? Also had to listen to Willy twice this last year, whether we wanted to or not. Got an amphitheater accross the road.

Sorry i'm late. Did i miss anything? No! I backread. 100 plus posts.
Just around freezing here, not snow, but ice. Its building up on the highways, even in 4wd its a struggle at 40 mph.

Putting around with ford, found one stuck valve. I got it closed with a hook through spark plug hole. Maybe i can get it working.
Other one is on other side, and maybe i can get it working. If i do, then i am indeed a god in the industry...

You can see the French press on the left in this pic. Drips coffee into the glass. Good stuff
