Stop in for a cup of coffee

So, you visit Norway sometimes, in the other end from where I lived. Well, the world is not big. Ulf came to visit in Norway in 1989, and took pics of the 65 Dart station wagon I had then, and now when I live in California I meet him here on FABO, and he asks me do you know a fellow so and so from Senja in Norway, he had a red Dart station wagon. And I just had to cough up that it was me. :)

Oh I had so much fun with that 65 Dart. I have not had many traffic accidents or incidents in my life, but I drove off the road in the winter in Sweden in 1982, probably 15 meter meter out in the snow. Got hauled up and used an hour or whatever to get the snow out of the engine room, same thing happened in northern part of Finland, same car, also a left curve, just before Christmas on my way home to Norway. A rear wheel bearing broke on the same car in the winter in northern Finland, temps below 0 F, but every time I was prepared, good clothes, did not freeze. Funny that most of my incidents with that car happened in the winter, miles and miles away from people.

My dad sometimes tells about the time he did just that, drove off the road in the north of Sweden and packed the engine compartment full of snow! Glad to see there's some truth to the story! :D

nice!!!! that'll move it
I'm hoping one day it will, yes!

I've got the 360/727 out of her right now. On track to fix the front frame rails and then paint the engine bay. Then assemble and inspect and then put the stroker in!

I think I'll be cutting out the inner fenders or at lest go fenderwell.

Here are more pics of food in VN to be eaten with sticks...

One valve really stuck. I got it twitching. Letting it soak for a bit, then i try tapping it again.

Yeahh, I guess it is. Don't see it much in Viet Nam, but that was in Nha Trang, which is pretty touristy. Main Beers in Viet Nam are : Tiger, Siagon Bia, 333 Bia, and Heineken,

It just looked familiar. Had to ask. Haven't had it in many years. Had to try it in my youth after the praise it got from my father from his time in the Philippines.

More pics when I get there next week....
Yes, I speak Vietnamese now. Been learning for two years now, not quite fluent yet though, not an easy language to learn.....
I bet that goes for speaking and comprehending? They speak so fast it would be tough. My brother in law is Vietnamese, and I hear him speak it to his parents. I couldnt imaging trying to learn it. Im self taught in Spanish when its spoken to me. I can understand most common words, but I cant speak it. I never could roll my R's.

It looks like very complicated food, in the sense of taking quite some time to prepare
The food I usually make is quick to make. And not very full of colors either.

Bill
Viet Nam is a VERY colorful country, and the food and the people are Awesome.......

I speak and text it everyday with her, so I am learning more very quickly. I could get by on my own, in country, in fact I did the first time I went there. The key is knowing other languages. I learned, and still know German, from an early age, also speak some Spanish and French, and some African Tribal languages. New languages come easier, if you have a few under your belt already...

Amazing what a couple hours makes. 4 inches of snow and 8 degrees this morning, now almost 50 and snow is about gone.

Hi everyone how is your day going? mine sucks.

Wind is 60 mph and no way to drive on the open road because you can't see past the hood of your car. Don't ask me how I know.
Got all the cars in the garage but my old rust bucket truck that looks pretty good warped in snow. Getting worse snowing harder and weather man says 2' before it stops.
I think I'll pour me a drink. lol

Hello Fred,

This what I am used to from Norway. Coast of northern part of Norway. Windy place, my dad was a truck driver and plowing the snow in the winter. Used to driving on studded winter tires more than 7 months a year. Put them on Oct. 1st. and took them off a week or so out in May. Oh man so I miss it.
