Stop in for a cup of coffee

No little goblins around here. 2 kids down the road, but never come for treats.
i ate the treats anyway. If they show up now, they are each getting a can of soup. cold and snowing outside.

Wind is 40mph+ we jacked down closer to the water and still swaying a bit. Nothing to worry about but winter is here in the Gulf of Mexico as well. Guys were in jackets with the wind chill.

I would estimate 250+ . Hard to count. And we don't keep track of x amount of 50 piece bags. Lol. We have some good stuff left over though. Lol

Party yesterday....ohhh never mind, Party every day......

Not many kids here this year, maybe 20 so far and it 7:37 pm. Or 19:37 for those who like that.

Guess the fire has ruined much of it.

Bill
We handed out about 200 pieces this year, one per kid. A light year by the usual standards here. I think the forecast rains diminished it some...even though the rains held off.

June is.sitting on the porch barefooted handing out stuff to the kids. I was sitting there too for a while, but went back in. Pretty nice evening, I the 70ties.

Aight den...I spoke of an opportunity earlier. So here it bees. I have a friend who owns and operates a restoration shop literally like a mile from me in a straight line. Now, this guy is only 31 years old, but he is very gifted. He had been hinting around......at least Kitty said he was, I was too stupid to catch it, at me coming and messin around a few days a week helping out with some mechanical work.

That's what I've been doing this week. He has four large buildings and a paint booth, including a large paint mixing shelf. The guy is a dead nuts professional. If you live in the southeast and are serious about a restoration, you might need to give me a shout.

Just this week, I removed the cabs and beds from a 95 S10 and a 51 Chevy truck. Yeah, you see where this is goin. The 51 on the S10 chassis powered with eventually you guessed it, an LS motor. lol He's big into LS motors. I guess if you're going to make money, you should be.

Next, I have two 63 Corvettes to disassemble to get ready one for complete restoration and the other for a paint job. We just got a 71 Mach1 in yesterday, and also we finally rescued my long time friend's LS5 SS 454 Chevelle from the paint prison it's been in for almost three years. Not to mention a 63 Ford F100 they are putting back together, a crazy 57 Chevy 4 door bagged and slammed with LS power and an early 50s GMC truck in for some super detailing.

You know what the down side is? My feet are naturally giving me about the worst they've ever given me this week. Being on them all over again has really done it. But this guy ain't takin no for an answer. He says he wants me in there even if only a couple of days a week......which is pretty much what I did this week.

Kitty got me in to see the doctor Monday for more steriod shots in my feet and to get some new custom insoles made......again. It appears we accidentally threw the last pair out in an old pair of shoes. Bout 250 bucks worth of custom insoles. lol Oh well.

Yall keep me in your prayers. This could be fun if I can get my feet worked out. But if I can't, I'm probably going to have to let it go. I felt like I was walking on bare bones this week and I can't take that kinda pain.
Good luck. Do what you can do to make it work for both of you.
I'm not familiar with custom insoles. I've had leather like orthotic (sp?) inserts. The ones made from a plaster cast. 3-400 seems to be the price.

I need to get new shoes, my left heel hurt so I can not walk on my treadmill. I am so flat-footed, it is like a rocking chair under my feet. Hurts after just a little walking.

Yeah that's them. Wasn't plaster exactly, but it was a mold material. Thanks for the encouragement. I honestly don;t think it's going to work out, but I am going to try with everything I have. Now, even if I get the foot thing where I can handle it, when the weather gets hot again, I am one and done. Maybe I can be a cold weather helper. He does have AC in three of the shops though. So who knows?

Get a roller stool for the stuff you can do seated. May have to rethink how you do the project but adjust to work smarter not harder. We are praying for you.

They make generic ones that are good for a lot of people.
The one the foot doc had me try is Spenco Total Support Max. Maybe $30 ?
But I for me the leatherish ones are better - and sooner than later I need to get replacements.
My issues is more with knee. So different story than Rusty

I think the rain is done, but the wind is going strong. Tomorrow morning is trash pick-up. I guess if I am up early enough I will put it out. Otherwise I will be the one picking it up - from all over the place.
