1964-1966 Mustang Single-Speed Windshield Washer Pump, Exact Reproduction | eBay

This washer pump is for a Mustang, but looks to me as the same as the Mopar one or at least close. I don't have one of each in my hand to compare. The only thing I see is that the Mustang one is around $35, while the Mopar ones are sold for $70-80.

Any thoughts ?

Bill
eh If you're going after 100% correctness, then you'll want the Mopar one. It'll have all the right markings.

So order flange gasket for fargo exhaust. Usa stock.
Take flange to parts store, compare a few and there it is, a perfect match...

I am pretty sure the plastic filter was used on the assembly line. A lot of info showing that, IMO. And the replacement was metal. My Satellite only has 35K on it, so might have the original filter, BUT I am a little doubtful on the location of it.. another Mopar conundrum,,
Here are 2 different 1966 Satellite 383 4 spd cars. The first one is an original owner 28k miles garage kept survivor. The second is a restored survivor.

My 360 and 727 are sold. They’re going in this car:

I got my asking price so now hopefully I’ll be able to build my stroker.

The buyer is a pretty serious engine builder who has his own dyno rig and he said he’ll be running it in that so I’ll find out how much power it makes!

He also put me in touch with this other race engine builder who has agreed to check his stash of cams and other speed parts to get my build going in the right direction. I told him I don’t have an unlimited budget but he said the pistons will be the most expensive.

We’ll see. He’ll be back in Sweden next weekend and we’ll be in touch then.

Sometimes, its better to custom build one to your needs than buy an off the shelf. Usually cost is the same and you get better components

you're doing a 400 based build right?

An eagle 4.15” crank is $789 from Summit and before my 440 crank is ground and balanced, I’ll hav spent more than that.

I know people told me that but hey, I’m only stubborn to a point!

I would build a desktop but I use a laptop here. My youngest has his old case and components from his last build. I was still using the laptop from my tool business. I apparently lost some connection between the keyboard and motherboard through the ribbon cable. Some of the keys were wonky and I lost control of the cursor. I just switched the hard drive to my newer laptop and had to download a new wireless driver to get it to connect to the internet. All seems good now.

I have an old laptop from 2008, and refuse to throw it away. Many years ago I spilled soda or whatever it was, juice maybe and the keyboard did not type the words right after that. :D. It was a hassle to find a Norwegian keyboard, but finally i did. And the computer is as good as ever.

@Ddaddy

Wife and I have joined weight watchers, lol. I have lost about 6 lbs since mid October. Not a whole lot, so nothing to brag about, but at least it is not 6 lbs up. Guess I try to make myself feel good for every little loss there is. :D

Bill
6 lbs in a month is good progress and will add up over time. Slow and steady is the best way to go. The recommendation is no more than 1-2 lbs lost each week for the best long term results.

I average losing around 2.5 lbs per month and while that may not seem like much, over 2 years I have lost more than 60 lbs.

Found a pcv valve that should work, cut off the road draft tube and welded a cap on the end,and a 3/8” vertical tube that i can flare up by the carb. Should work fine. Then at least i can run it in the shop for tuning, and all the crap goes out the tailpipe.

Well the forklift arrived, don't expect the flatbed with the lift till 4:30-5:30, will go out and test those lights lol!

Now, finally, I have tried to get suede paint finish in the dashboard recess. It needs to dry first, so I will see later and perhaps get a picture of it too.

Can someone please identify what these will fit, if it is possible to see that through the bag and so forth.

They are supposed to be brush holders for some kind of Chrysler alternators, but which type is it ?

Bill
You can match up with the ones here:
Alternator repair, a little show and tell.

Any other styles are prob for the late squarebacks.

In the middle of a picture is a Volvo PV, with 3 extra lights in front. We used to call them 1000 meter lights, 1000 meters is almost 1100 yards.

Did you ever have anything like that here in the US ?

Picture is from Facebook, and it is Oslo 1968.

We have driving lights in addition to the headlights but until a decade or so ago they weren't available in production.
