Cruiserwise our 170 straight six car is one of my favorites and I never thought I would say that over a V8

Mine is my absolute favorite. I cannot wait till I get the headliner in and the glass back in it.

I still drive my 92 Ram 12 valve, as a daily, even tho my son wrecked it this year. Have an 08 Caddy DTS, but prefer the Dodge...

Went to a family farm, bout 3 hrs Moto ride. Was there for a few days. Have you ever seen Shrimp Farming ??? The very hard way...

Apparently they harvest every 4 months. They pull all the water actuators, on this pond, about 1/2 acre size. Then 4 guys drag nets through it with electrolysis to exicte the prey. At least 10 nets full of Shrimp, some, very large, which the owner kept. Many people there to help, was very interesting.

Was just on another forum, went to browse classifieds only to discover there weren’t that many for sale ads. Then i figured out why.
4.99/for 30 days. And also explains why i got a lashing for offering to buy something that wasnt in the classifieds.
guess they have to pay the bills somehow.

I'm surprised no one asked why I would take a v8 out and put a slant six in when that is exact opposite of 99% of the population would do

This is even an original v8 car lol

Its your car and not everyone likes the same thing. I mean there are actually people that like Yugo's. I see no problem with your plan.

I give lashings here for offering to buy something not in the classifieds.

What happened is I bought the scamp with no engine or trans so I put the v8 in with the intent to building it as a v8 car like most people would do. I had planned to buy a 4 door car to put a slant six in and daily drive the slant powered 4 door.

I was never able to score a 4 door car. I wanted either a 72 valiant or dart but it had to be a slant six. I had a line on one but it fell through.

Instead I found a 72 demon in late 18. The demon is a slant six car but after thinking about it, I think the scamp would make a better slant six car than the demon because demons have a reputation of being muscle cars.

So the scamp and the demon are pretty much trading drivelines and the scamp will become the daily driven because the demon is a lot more of a valuable car than the scamp.

I see 2 door cars as the sportier models too.
In all my years of car madness, I have never been able to find a good 4 door. I had a 72 valiant that was absolutely trashed and that is the only 4 door i have ever encountered.

All I ever find are 2 doors. Even my c bodies are 2 doors. I didnt plan that, it was just what I randomly got.

I would still love to find a good 4 door but I am picky because I want a 72 and a slant six specifically so I doubt one will ever pan out.

1972 has always been my favorite year for mopars.

Chrysler didn't make anything in 72 that I didn't like. The engineering advances they made in 72 are so often overlooked but so significant in automotive history. Chrysler was an innovative company and the early 70s proved it. They built a good product for times of government mandates and fickle customers. IMO

Maybe not sporty but defitnitly stylish and wholesome

Customers in the early 70s like 72, didn't care about that old 60s muscle stuff anymore.

They wanted reliable, economical, quiet, stylish, safe, comfortable, spacious, and easy to drive cars.

That is what ChryCo delivered

I have had something like 25-30 A body cars since my first car in 1982, a '69 Dart.
Most were 2 door Duster/Dart Sport cars but I've had a few 4 doors. They were treated as parts cars.
75 Dart 4 dr.
'70 Valiant 4 dr.
'72 Valiant 4 dr.
All were slant six cars. All were beat to hell.

I think that is why I never find 4 doors. Most people parted them out and threw them away.

But most of the same people saved the 2 doors. So that makes 2 doors the more common today IMO

Wagons are even a sadder story.

At one time wagons ruled the streets and were everywhere. Now wagon specific parts are so hard to find. Try finding an early A wagon tailgate. Or 68 B body wagon trim. The stuff has disappeared
