Stop in for a cup of coffee

Wife’s stupid dog kept jumping over the fence all weekend long. After trying it her way, which meant do nothin, we did it my way, the redneck way. 4 feet of fence added to the 3.5 feet that was there haha! Told her it was that, or I was gonna out the 200 mile fence charger on the whole thing. He ain’t getting out now
How do you make a fence 4ft taller?
Kinda bad time of the year for fence work...

Rednecked. It’s a small yard, 30x 30 fenced in. Previous renters used 4x4 square posts, so I just added 4 foot 4x4 posts to it, gussets and braced. Then added 4 feet of wire fence to it. Wired the top and bottoms together. It’ll get trimmed in half when it’s warmer and then this spring, replaced with 6 feet chain link. but is -5 right now with the windchill so this will have to do for now.

Got the driveway clear. Had to run to Ace for another bag of ice melt. Got the good stuff this time. Calcium Chloride. Expensive at $20 for 50 LB. But goes a lot farther than rock salt or blend.
They did utility work several years ago and replaced a section at the end of my drive. The cream on that junk is GONE. Other than a few cracks. my 40 year old concrete is WAY better.

I only buy calcium chloride anymore. Worth every penny and works to much lower temp than rock salt. Rock salt’s lowest effective temperature is about 20*F but calcium chloride has a lowest effective temperature of -25*F. Calcium chloride also releases heat as it dissolves in an exothermic reaction that speeds the melting.

Finally got all the trucks dig out and path to main shop. And yes Zman is correct, we will be heading home to Arkansas.

RRR your post about your cat made me think of our old cat. He was a red tabby weighing in at 20 pounds.
Once he jumped up on the couch with my then five year old daughter.
She gleamed laying there, saying "look Dad he's laying on me". This was followed by panic and gasps saying "I can't breath".
Haha he was a big boy.
Lots of love and affection!!
