Chris. Polara running yet??19° F
no, I can't find the missing part of the wiring harness. Thats why I went to the junkyard yesterday. I'm thinking of making it as it is only 2 wires but I'd feel better with the right set up. And I'm waiting for the new starter to come in.Chris. Polara running yet??
The dipstick issue, they corrode because of moisture in the crankcase. And they crack off. To do right, you will need to be able to drill off broken off stub, and replacing with new. Can you maybe get an EZ out in there, maybe twist it out?no, I can't find the missing part of the wiring harness. Thats why I went to the junkyard yesterday. Need to figure out a solution for the dipstick too. I tried pulled 3-4 yesterday and they all broke off, same spot as mine. Tempted to just JB weld mine back in
Its like you are talking to yourself...Take it easy Mike. (who am I to say) LOL
Thread in a tap, then a piece of pipe, and a bolt,a puller of sorts. The dipstick issue, they corrode because of moisture in the crankcase. And they crack off. I did that already. Used a EZ out. it broke off clean at the flare. All the replacements ones Ive tried so far are about 1/8th in larger diameter. tempted to drill the hole out largerThe dipstick issue, they corrode because of moisture in the crankcase. Dont see why it wouldnt work. A magnet in the pan to clean out filings. Or rinse it with a bunch of solvent.or diesel fuel.I did that already. Used a EZ out. it broke off clean at the flare. Is there a lip at the bottom, or is it like the lower control arm bushings, no lip. If there is a lip, fab a small hook, on a slide hammer. Puller.Thread in a tap, then a piece of pipe, and a bolt,a puller of sorts.
Drill it out, pun new one in with JB weld. Making sure none gets in the inside of the tube, of course.Dont see why it wouldnt work. A magnet in the pan to clean out filings. Or rinse it with a bunch of solvent.or diesel fuel.

I wonder about using a magnetic drill bit. I've seen those beforeDrill it out, pun new one in with JB weld. Making sure none gets in the inside of the tube, of course.
EZ to magnetize a drill bit. Use a shop vac to keep metal from falling in. Best you can do without taking engine out of car. IMO.I wonder about using a magnetic drill bit. I've seen those before
well, I have plenty of Diesel fuel! 650 gallons of itDrain oil, fill with Diesel, drill out the hole, drain the crank case, and fill with oil, run engine flush, drain and refill and call it good to go.
With the Diesel instead of oil, the metal chips will just go right to the bottom of the pan, not get hung up in the thick oil. My thinking....
it does have a magnetic drain plug already tooDrain oil, fill with Diesel, drill out the hole, drain the crank case, and fill with oil, run engine flush, drain and refill and call it good to go.

Or the Boston Celtics! I'm so personally offended by that one.how bout the Cleveland Indians, or the Atlanta Braves ???

And ban that stupid Tomahawks cheer! It's not even their cheer; it's the Florida Seminoles', and it's just as idiotically irritating when they do it.The one thing though, I do know, its going to be a great Super Bowl game!!!

Dang, busy guy you are.Hi Mike! Aw you know: Fuss aroun', eat my lunch, talk stuff.
Thinkin' o' goin' down to Hoppy's if he's in the garage and weld up those Cuda floor pans he's been wantin' me to weld, maybe take my trans pan and governor cover down there and finish cleanin' 'em up, over beers of course.
Puttin' new seals and gaskets in my transmission, got the flex plate, trans mounts and all the bolts cleaned up, just about ready to stick the engine and trans in. Then I can put the front end clip back on and stuff will really start flyin' at the car - allllll those boxes and boxes of stuff I have all over the garage. Dashboard and steering column are all re-done and in, except I have to find some speakers, and add some little stuff like the speedometer cable, radio antenna etc.
What choo bin inta?
