Stop in for a cup of coffee

Mine require an occasional touch up. I brush it on and run the engine up to 300-350 degrees and then let it cool off a few minutes. I do it three or four times and then let it sit for a day. Works for me.
Sounds like a time consuming process. But if it lasts a while...
Which coating is that with?

10-15 minutes. Of course the engine is cold when you apply the coating. I then run it up checking with a temp gun. Hit the 300-350 temp, turn it off and let it set, check the manifold temp, down to 100 or less, I do the process again.

That's what I used too.
The outgassing as it first cooks was pretty noticible to the nose!
Held up OK.

Got too many other projects and that one needs more than all of them combined

One spring mount left. On the front. Clean it up,add a plate to strengthen it and drill a couple more holes to bolt it together. Then a cross brace for the front.
Buddy came over, has been extracting broken bolts and unbolting a few things to straighten. Productive day.

@krazykuda was reading back, seen you were having trouble with Solidworks downloading. If you’re still having issues, go get an external SSD hard drive and download it to to it. Solidworks is a HUGE memory and resource hog. *Most* off the shelf computers for less than 6-7 hundred. The mid-priced ones *sometimes* will run it. Solidworks doesn’t do a good job with their minimum requirements. Expect some issues in bigger models and assemblies if running bare minimum system requirements.

of course, with your situation I’m not saying to run out and dump a lot of money, just saying it’s normal for issues to happen. The machine I run at work is a custom built machine, the best of everything and spec’d to be top notch. It also cost 7500 bucks. It still has issues when you get to HUGE models, say Semi truck size.

I think I picked it up at NAPA. Supposed to be a lube I think.... I first saw that idea on some Olds restoration site. Tried it on some 440 cast iron manifolds and it was like magic. So have been doing the 340 headers like that ever since.

That's what she said.... :D

I was talking to my youngest son and we realized that the latest version of Solidworks is for windows 10 and I'm running windows 7... I just went out and got a new 2 Tb hard drive so I can load windows 10 on it and try to download the CAD software then...

My machine is ok to run it... It's a first gen windows 7 with upgraded video card and max RAM... I should be able to handle it... I had a version of Solidworks on it before, but it expired and I had to unload it...

I will update a few of my files and then try to swap my new hard drive in hopefully today or tomorrow....
