Good, you are still young, you can withstand adversity in the Market. You need to be in for the Long term. Do not listen to all the BS......probably. I'll move it back in a few days after this coronavirus stuff settles down.

It adds up fast. Plus the tent beet and and Beer and gen, Beer, coolers, beer and bbq and beer, etc all take up room. Love the old truck but definitely hate the short bed part.
Oops!so in other news. My buddy just learned the hardway about running water in a radiator in climate's that experience below freezing weather... Needless to say, he destroyed a very potent AMC 360 that he'd rebuilt, had maybe 400 miles on it. about 450 hp in a 64 American that maybe weights 2700 pounds. Guess he went to change the plugs after it sat all winter long and water came pouring out. Said he forgot to drain it. Cranked the block thru the cylinder walls. and AMC 360s aren't easy to find these days.

Yeah probably. He’s taking it to a machine shop to see if it can be saved. That thing flat eats if it’s ever hook. He’s running factory sized rear tires because the tubs are so small, he can’t stuff anything wider in. So it doesn’t hook at allRIP little AMC
That's a hot rod.Sad part is, we just got the new 9inch put together a couple weeks ago for it

He’s even more anti Chevy than me, he won’t ever drop a 350 in it

Yeah, those things really kill with power to weight, I mean 2600 lbs in full trim, I couldn’t believe it. And my buddy’s putting fiberglass hood, bumpers and has aluminum heads. So he’s probably coming in at around 2500 loadedA friend had a Rambler 500 I think it was 327 AMC. That funny little thing sent a lot of Novas and Camaros off scratchin' their heads.
Sounds about right. 327 AMC engine was used in SJs from 65-68. So would have been Rambler era. That might be what they call first gen AMC v8s.A friend had a Rambler 500 I think it was 327 AMC. That funny little thing sent a lot of Novas and Camaros off scratchin' their heads.
I’m sure that’s more regional dependent. Are you kidding?
They are not that rare. I got the spare '85 for 100, and the shop rebuilt if for around 2400.
A good build will cost more, but the blocks are not that expensive. There's a few builder, and I mean a few, that specialize in the AMC v-8s and do beautiful work
Thanks!That's just nuts.
As of last year there's still one in late SJ at Shorty's Truck yard. That might be West Conshoken. I think the heads are still on it but inytake might not be. It doesn't matter for what he'll need anyway.
There was an '86 SJ at yard in Philly, but even if the Jeep or engine are still there, I doubt they'ld pull it and ship it.
Just start scanning the AMC and jeep forums for something closer. But there's two options if he's desperate.
Man, l've got probably close to a thousand different CD's I'd probably trade trade them for any Mopar. We have a couple of Roth IRA's that have been doing good. One of my cd's get's me $100/month interest. I have some in savings I need to transfer but I want a balance so I can pull the trigger on another Mopar if the right one pops up. LOL
I wonder what the penalties are for cashing in. You probably would have to pay income taxes on all the interest incurred. If I wait long enough, I can cash in and not pay taxes.Man, l've got probably close to a thousand different CD's I'd probably trade trade them for any Mopar.
