Stop in for a cup of coffee

You can also get a title through Vermont. Time to get ready for jail. I was hoping to retire soon but if the stock market keeps going south I may have to work the rest of my life.

That is getting me worried also. LOL today stocking up on some bulk stuff from the oriental store. 100lbs of rice!

Morning all!
ITS FRIDAY!!
Will get dart rear axle done today, should be able to pop it under the car this weekend.

TJ most of our retirements are based on the stock market in the US what do they base theirs on in Canada? Just curious.

I think the same thing. When i left the government job i turned my pension plan into a retirement investment fund. Rif is what they call it. Up 10 grand in 6 years. Old age pension plan isnt great, so it will need to be supplemented.

yeah, I'm glad I moved most of mine into that safe fund option. I've got i think 15-20% in other funds and I looked yesterday, they'd lost about 17% each. but with a majority of mine in that guaranteed 2% fund, I'm actually still black for the year, sitting an average of 1.46% gain across all my funds.

With my wife working for the bank, our mortgage gets a better rate, and i think the investments get a better rate too. Every little bit helps.

Got the air compressor yesterday, Really like it. Still have to get some fittings to plumb the old tank into it for extra storage.. Nice and quiet, builds up fast twin cylinder. Runs on 110, 2Hp. 30 gallon. Nice upgrade compared to the old one will let you know how it stands up.

The extra storage is nice to have. My other tank is 80 feet away,in winter it doesent work as the line feeding it freezes. But it sure is nice having air in the quonset in the summer.

Have to figure out where to put it. prob in the loft. The new one just about keeps up with the blast cabinet a huge improvement over the old one. Figure another 30 Gallons of storage will prob do it. Have to get a automatic drain for it and plumb it down somehow, prob trans line.

That sounds like a good set up, what's the cfm? I need to figure out what I'm going to do for my lift, can't need a very big one I wouldn't think.

Let me use it a few days before you pull the trigger. For what I do it should work fine. Air tools that I use don't draw a lot unless I use the DA.

That might be more compressor than I need, gotta check the manual/specs. I've been side tracked with getting the dryer fixed/replaced for the misses. Repair guy came out once, I had to take off work cause they only come to "the island" wed and thurs (there's a road here, don't gotta take a boat). Anyway, he ordered parts, then no showed on repair day (wed- wife took off work). We both gave the repair place the riot act since they wouldn't reschedule on a Mon or Fri, store where we bought it ended up allowing me to bring in ours and the parts and bring home a new one, got that done yesterday.

I was looking at that but my amperage in the shop for 230 just wont handle it and the lift at the same time. Was surprised how well it is made actually.

i learned this, you can never have enough air or air supply. That thing there will run pretty much any air tool including a sand blaster. Even the heavy demand cut off tools

yeah but your lift and AC shouldn't be in use at the same time.

Tell you what HF has a 29 gallon belt drive that I abused for 14 years everyday. Think they are around 249.

I have a Dewalt, has pretty good cfm, can drive an air chisel but it dogs it a bit. This would be a second compressor only for the lift, I'm hoping I can get a small one.
