Stop in for a cup of coffee

Bakery is empty except for the owners and one employee in the back. They don't bake on premises. They said they're just seeing how it goes with the cafe portion closed, and no specialty breads. Apparently their pumpernickle is a specialty bread, so it was sandwich wheat for me. They also had a half of white made with unbleached and sourdough in the 1/2 price bin - sounded interesting so I bought it too. It went in the freezer.
 
Spent the day in the shop sorting out master cylinders and transferring MAT sensor from CAI tube

Doing a temp roller coaster here last couple days. Was in the 70's yesterday. Was still over 60 at midnight when I came home from work. Woke up to 40F. High might make 50 today. Actually saw a chance of snow, I think for Tuesday.
 
Loved them big $ Nitro match races they used to run in the 70s in SoCal. Saw lots of eastern Pros along with the locals. John Force was still a ready mix truck driver in the Inland Empire back then :lol:

i do as well. Namely our elderly and those with a lot of kids. Being in the DoD for my civilian job, we were informed we were essential employees under Trumps national emergency EO and therefore will continue to work, albeit likely from him starting next week.

I’m still sending my kids to our friend and will be paying her even if we don’t. She’s a wonder lady and has helped us so much it’s time to return that favor. Which is what I told her when I dropped off a car lid of groceries for her last night. She has a family of 10. Her husband works a full time job and a second part time. She refuses any government assistance and runs an in home daycare. The rationing here has hurt her ability to put food on the table, namely with meats. All the stores here are only letting you buy 1 meat item per type of meat, or beef, chicken etc. But the county I work in, has a 4 per variety limit, ie steak, chicken, ground beef etc. so I loaded up otw home last night and brought it to her. She didn’t know what to say. Tried to pay me, Told her she owed me nothing. Told her I’d do more and help as I could. Turned and walked out.

looks fun. Wife’s put me in jail. Guard wouldn’t let me go to drill today. So I’m stuck on honey to do chores.
 
Ya know what? With the weather we have predicted for this coming week, The World of Outlaws Sprints would be washed out regardless of Covid19 :lol:. There was method to ole Doug Fort's (builder and operator of Santa Maria Speedway) madness when he would put "C U IN APRIL!" on the big billboard at the end of the season. :rofl:
 
Just in from a little yard work. Playing pick up sticks. Anything too big that could bend a plade. Plus I have one tree down back that sheds long straight branches. Most would easily chop up, but they lay flat and the blades don't catch them. Also got the trimmer out to knock down a big zebra grass and trimmed one small bush on side of house. Now watching one of the FastandFurious movies. A little bit of 'not reality' is the perfect thing right now.
 
Other than that it will just be a regular work day for me. Still not sure about tomorrow. Think I will be doing 3-7pm

I had one in the house, but when I went to use it. NFG... So i figure battery. Got one of the LR41 button battery, weird size. Last week, went to 4 different places, No Gots....So I got one close to the size and modified/jammed it in there. Still No Workey. So I go to 4 places looking for new digital thermometer...Ha...No Have. Ordered one online Wednesday.....They say arrives next week sometime...Probably coming from CHINA !!! :eek::eek:

I went all old school, shake down kind.. Mercury free tho.
