Stop in for a cup of coffee

That can be something to look at though if it is just catching the bushing? I am not versed on transmissions how far to the end f the tailshaft des the bushing go? I would look at it if it was vibrating it is probably elliptical now

It is leaking some fluid from tail shaft...another reason I point towards driveshaft length. I have another tailshaft in the garage...I will measure how far in the bushing is, then measure my yoke...I'm banking on this being the problem...

Hope it is as easy as that. Sometimes I have to walk away then revisit it the next day. Easy to overthink issues.

Any chance you have access to a lift? Put it on jack up the rear and run it and look at the drive train if possible.

That might be your answer. There will be some fluid that leaks past the bushing and around the splines but the seal should keep it under control. A loose tailshaft could damage a seal pretty quick though. Can you see any marks in the yoke where a seal rode in the past? If you can, it isn't in the tailhousing far enough I would think.

Submitted for your entertainment..1975 duster.

Just the rear has to be up. Prbb could use jack stands and be able to see it, would be low to the ground though.

Looking at the NWS, it appears we have made the transition to Wind season. Mid 60s-mid 70s with 25mph winds this week. At least the dust doesn't fly here like it does in the Mojave this time of year.

Good morning everyone!!! So I have seen this question asked but I dont know if I have ever really saw an answer so I'm going to ask. What is the driveshaft length for a Duster with a 727 and 8.75 rearend. I had one cut down here a while back for my son's car but, I think (judging from the vibration) it's too short. I just measured the one that was in the car when I had the one cut down but, not sure what it came out of..

We measure the length needed by jacking up the axle (Keeping the springs with load on them) and putting the slip yoke in the trans... Then measure from the center of the slip yoke u-joint to the center of the axle u-joint and then subtract an inch for installation...

OK I am out want to get the field tilled one more time should be dry enough. Later guys
I haven't given much thought to tilling my little garden yet. Unless I do any early stuff it can go a month yet. Might be getting rid of the hops. Maybe still run the strings for some pole beans.
Good morning

Good Morning!!!
I'm thinking of starting a Go Fund Me site.
The purpose will be to raise gas and expense money for Karl to travel the short distance to Chris's for a couple days and put an end to they Poly madness.

He's about 3 hours from me... :steering:

Trouble is, Indiana state police have been giving IL residents tickets for not honoring the stay at home order...
