Stop in for a cup of coffee

My wife/GF accused me of treating the house like a hotel...

I told her, "I've NEVER snorted cocaine off a hooker's tits in this house".... :D

The panicked masses bought out the reserve inventory of TP. It is coming back in stock, it will just take another week or two to work the new inventory through the system.

I got gas at Sam’s Club this morning (2.01). Didn’t go in, but cruised by entrance to see if any TP coming out. Nope. But almost every cart had water and/or paper towels.

There was even TP here, but I got enough to last til next summer as is!
We started paying attention to our TP usage rate when this first started. We determined that each of us use a 240 sheet roll every 20 days. With 18 rolls in inventory, the 3 of us can last about 4 months before needing more.

Getting supplies isn’t a real issue here, having to go out into the infected World to get them is the larger concern.

It's 71° and clear at the 1/2 mile in Bakersfield  Scheduled was Dirt and Asphalt Dual. Super Stocks and Modifieds on the big track and Modifieds and door slammers on the dirt. Woulda been a good way to spend the afternoon and evening. :D

Granted, it’s been almost two weeks since I’ve gone to the store so maybe things have improved? But I doubt it. My sister works at the Kroger so she tells us about certain items being scarce, like pasta. Anything pasta related is sold out at her Kroger and they can’t seem to get any.

Pretty much the same here Dave.
I noticed the people working the fresh Grocer Friday after lunch were not being quite as careful as they had been the week before. The plastic shields are up at the cashiers - only real improvement in safety-seperation over the previous vist (actually 10 days).
Post office people were good. Farmers market and people there were good. More people wearing masks today when I walk to the ATM, but many weren't being careful about giving space. False sense of security. :BangHead: Stuck my arm out one time to make one walk around me a little further away.

Hey, Matt is in the house!!

Too many at work still like that. One guy said to me tonight that 'he was taking precautions everywhere else, but was more comfortable around people at work.' Elaborated that we are around same people every day here. I told him, the problem with that thinking is if one person picks it up outside work, then it could get all of us. We have to wear earplugs here, so you already have to talk loud on the floor. Communication would get much more difficult if we start wearing masks. I really try to keep 6ft or more, but many seem to think 2 ft=6ft

Suppose they wouldn't buy you those noise cancelling earmuffs. I'm not sure they'd help in a constant noise environment, but they might.

My wife will be tending the door at the bank next week. Telling everybody to use the atm and their mobile banking app. Only people that actually need personal service get in.
They all got issued letters in case of a provincial lockdown.

TD Bank around here closed all branches except those with drive through. I brought cotton gloves and hand sanitizer for the door and atm. Easy enough. I'll dig out some bandanas for shopping in stores, if I do that.

Well, night men.......Over did it some today, still feeling the effects of to much Corona.........

Our banks have all been 'Lobby entry by appointment only' for a while now.

Many areas are probably below the threshold for earplugs required, but some aren't, So we are to wear them. I doubt the headphones would help enough, especially if wearing masks. I would rather just talk loud from 6 ft away with no mask...
