Stop in for a cup of coffee

Damn, what is wrong with the world these days.

When I Googled "lassie" for a pic of the dog, I learned you have to specify "lassie dog"

When i typed "lassie" , i got a **** come up "young lassie takes it in the assie'
Must have associated it with something on your computer or phone.... :poke:
This is what showed up when I typed in the same...

Now I'm being serious 'cause I'm kindof curious. I turned 'safe search off' in Duckduckgo and got the same image results as before.
I have had some weird associations in the past that turn up a few racy or **** pics, but not seeing that with just lassie.
I've also had some weird search items tossed in based on previous searches that day. Those are pretty annoying.

ok, time for me to disappear again because that was messed up.
Heck you might have just cursed and g**gle added it to your associations.
Seriously probably would be a good idea to dig into your google profile and settings.

So it was demon Friday here, I have owned this car for 4 years and haven't done anything with other than drive it around the yard because it had a good running slant, so I drove it In to pull the slant to put in the valiant and while it is in the shop, I started thinking there is nothing stopping me from dropping a mild 340 /833 OD

So I changed the K frame.

That spray bomb black grille looks like total ****, I wonder what is the easiest way to remove all the black paint off it and go back to the original agent silver

And why didn't the 340/833 go in the Valiant and the slant stay in the Demon?

And why didn't the 340/833 go in the Valiant and the slant stay in the Demon?
1. Because the valiant is originally a 63 so it has that weird bump in the firewall that makes it not conducive for a v8.
2. V8 Exhaust options are limited and typically more expensive in an early A.
3. The valiant is a wagon and I originally bought it to build a slant six car.
4. I have a vintage, early 60s hyper pak setup that seems more fitting in an early A.
5. Demons have a reputation to uphold as high performance, so I'm assisting in keeping that image.

The valiant is originally a 63 but it now has a ton of 65 parts because I got a deal on a 65 valiant 4 door parts car from a fabo member. I am going with what is available because 63 parts seem hard to find and I already have the 65 parts here.

Sounds like a good plan.
Can't help on the plastic painting. Not my department as they say.

So now I'm planning my next move which is to clean up the 340

It was as runner and I bet still is but it has sat in a car in the field for the last 15 to 20 years.

So for as much as it's hard to find another I think it's worth going through it first and checking everything.

I prolly overthink these things
nah. Planning goes a long way.
And I can't say anything. 'cause when I got this car I didn't put a 4 speed in 'cause I didn't want to the whole transmission tunnel conversion. Actually was the better decision for me at that time. The v-8 and drivetrain and suspension swap took long enough. All done at a friends house after work and weekends...

I found out a lot about headlight adjusters this week. I was messing with the headlights on the 74 duster because when I bought the car the grille was busted up and the headlight adjusters are all broken.

So I found out that 72 and up are one style of adjuster (pictured) and 71 down are a smaller type. Also I found that 71 down headlight sockets are bolt on but 72 and up they are spot welded to the fender.
