I was a little disappointed to see this... Not really surprised, but thought Carlisle was US Made.

There was a connector in the alternator harness that was unplugged. Dont know why it goes on a roundabout route but it fires! Next is rad/ hoses and coolant.

What I read is that 'most' are US made. :( I got them on Ebay. Should have known when they didn't show country of Manufacture. :BangHead: Oh well, I probably would have bought them anyway. I'm sure most or all options are China made as well. Price was good - 2 of them delivered for under $60
 
Just because something is made in china, does not make it crap. Really. There is good stuff from there as well, Really...
 
I am not stuck on US made, but would favor to promote US manufacturing. There certainly can be benefits in 'Global sourcing', but the stream of goods has flowed to strong from China to us. And of course the $ goes the other direction. Especially now as we sort out the truths of the current situation. I would rather buy something made pretty much anywhere but China.

Which is where the crap comes from, cause they cut corners to increase profit. They are capable of making the correctly engineered product. But often go for a look-a-like. In the case of Carlisle tires, they are likely still good. Because they should be made to spec. Unlike the reverse engineered knockoffs under some other name.
 
Parts from a China made engine fits right onto a Honda engine. Bolt for bolt....Have put a piston from a champion engine in a Honda. Still working, on my pressure washer..

Actually, japan was much like that years ago, dont buy anything made in japan. Now the quality of some stuff is second to none.

I swapped good parts from a red 13 hp honda onto a blue chinese replica. Wouldnt know it wasnt a honda.
