Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yeah, warm for my likings anyway. 210ish at freeway speeds. I have electric fans and with the hood on it actually runs cooler with the fans on. With the hood off 190 all day long. So I’m going to open up the fan shroud where I can and put light rubber flaps on it to let air through at freeway speed, and seal up at lower speeds and the fans on. Then close up the front a bit between the grill and radiator to give the air no place but through the radiator.

An air dam will really help. It lowered my operating temp by 10-15* and others have said the same when the put one on their car.

Awesome A-body air dam for under $30!

I might have to block part of my radiator off if it runs cooler than now... the car runs at 190* on the road right now and if I'm sitting in the McDonald's drive through for 10 minutes it only creeps up to about 192-193* That's with a 26" champion aluminum radiator, solid mounted fan and no shroud.

The spoiler works. I am running a Magnum (5.9) now 408 with a factory type replacement 26" 2 row rad, and a 180 stat. Has an under drive water pump pully and a 3.91 sure grip. When on the I 35 @ 75mph and stays at 180 with the A/C on.

Mark you have headers I assume? wrapping mine helped a lot, but then again a RB in a dart not much room to breath either.

I thought he said he had one

I removed shroud because I entered my truck in a "tough truck" challenge as a half time entertainment at local dirt track during a monster truck weekend. Got a lot of air in it, didn't win but did alright. Would have blasted the fan into the shroud, radiator had a row added to it and I was in the process of trimming it down in the right places, just wasn't there yet.

Just got back from a nice drive. First, took the 55, then the Barracuda.
A 30 minute drive each along a nice rural country highway we have nearby. Both ran well.
There is a cruise night planned with all the precautions etc...might have to check it out.
I miss the car shows.

There’s a driving car show running this afternoon, I may go to it. They’re gonna run from Indy to Louisville along state highways, thru small town Indiana and drive by as many nursing homes and hospitals as possible. Kind of a mini power tour type thing but it’s being billed as a moral booster

To keep cool, you need the front hood seal, the one that seals above the Rad. No kidding...

We are starting to have car cruises show up locally as well. As long as people don't congregate.

Working on drilling the holes in the replacement trunk lid for the GTS. Very scary to drill new holes in new metal...Got the letters done, now for the tailpanel...Gunner is NO help....

Finally, a day nice enough to wear a t-shirt for working in the yard!

My wife took a pic of me wearing it just like she did last year. Though I would share.

This was me same time last year after I had already lost 43 lbs...

And this was today after having now lost 76 lbs. Same size t-shirt in both pics.
