Stop in for a cup of coffee

I'm going to finish up a couple little projects around the house this morning. I rolled the gas BBQ grill across it last night. One of the wheels was stuck and left a nice scuff mark. Easy fix with a little paint.
Picked up out meat bundle yesterday. I looked at the total and asked the butcher about the discount. She said well since you made up your own, I couldn't discount it. Then she says "But I took care of you guys". When we go in the last couple years we always joke and talk with them.
I got home and was amazed. The cut steaks were twice the size they normally were. Cheryl and I will be splitting a steak all summer.
Going to test that out tonight. Daughter is coming over for dinner tonight. First family get together in months. Looking forward to it!!

Running warm? Have a shroud?
Yeah, warm for my likings anyway. 210ish at freeway speeds. I have electric fans and with the hood on it actually runs cooler with the fans on. With the hood off 190 all day long. So I’m going to open up the fan shroud where I can and put light rubber flaps on it to let air through at freeway speed, and seal up at lower speeds and the fans on. Then close up the front a bit between the grill and radiator to give the air no place but through the radiator.

The only issue I have is I cleared a week off of work with the wife for this very purpose, and now at least 2 possibly 3 days are committed to “other” things! :BangHead:

Mark just curious what or how are you to "close up" the front. Are you using some kind of material or moving components?

Was thinking sheet metal, but once I get the grill and radiator out I’ll have a better look and form a “plan” Stay tuned this ought to be hilarious!

Indiana is reopening most things by phases but requiring masks and gloves to go to stores. My question is... given the run of that stuff in February, where does one get that stuff?

This virus thing is a mess

I like your idea, give that air no other place to go. I once removed my fan shroud from my Suburban, long story why, anyway it was running fine. Then went and towed an RV over a mountain pass to the eastern side of the state. Had to double back and put that shroud on cause the rig started overheating, dumb me!

Quick parts run, grab a couple take out breakfast sandwiches and get to diff swap.

Requiring gloves? Not here. A lot of people have made there own masks. Basically anything over mouth and nose meets requirement

Yeah and the masks must be n95 rated. But I highly doubt they’re gonna be going around checking that lol

Kinds of did the rubber flaps on the pop, except it is used for when the scoops are down. Still a work in progress.

Not sure where all your air is bypassing. Do you have a hood seal that comes down across top of radiator support?
