I should ask Keefer or Hoppy, (or look it up myself) How do they climb? Do they have tendrils?

no idea, he said they grow about a foot a day. so when it stops raining on Monday, I'll construction some sort of pole system

Well, this isn’t going to last long.

I usually book 140-160 hours per month consulting for this company. In April it was only 104 hours. So far this month after 5 working days, just 10 hours.

Either they start picking up by the end of the month or I’m going to have to find other work.

Even at $175/hr, 10 hours a week isn’t going to cut it.

Climb best on natural fiber twine. Used baler twine last couple years. nice when you cut them down too, just toss the string in the pile with the vines.

Good luck looking it up. VERY difficult to tell them apart. I had mostly Magnum and a few Cascade. Pretty sure All I dug up were Magnum just from where they were planted. I can tell the two apart in the first few weeks cause the Cascade leaves are lighter color. After that they are very similar. Then when done, you can see some difference in the cones, but still not easy.

I was answering the wrong question there. So add that to FYI file. Lol

Noted thanks!

Now that’s a surreal example of the new “normal”.

The ice cream truck just came through the neighborhood playing the usual music. What’s surreal is that the guy selling ice cream is wearing a face mask and the people buying are all patiently waiting their turn about 10’ apart in family groups with their kids taking turns and coming up one at a time until it’s the next family’s turn...all wearing masks.

It used to be about a minute or two at each stop as everyone rushed the truck, but now I have been listening to the music from the truck for the past 15 minutes and there is still a line waiting to get their turn. The families walk away and after a few yards, remove their masks and enjoy the special treat they just got.

Life may never be the same again...not in a bad way necessarily...just different...and somehow surreal.
