Usually you can not use that on trim pieces or something as fragile as I think he has....I have a set of these that saved me on a lot of stuck screws Usually one tap and they are loose that a screwdriver will get them out.

potmetalthis is on potmetal or plastic right?
Yeh, there is a fine line between breaking loose and crushing the part...Usually you can not use that on trim pieces or something as fragile as I think he has....
potmetal
Okay. So it is from the backside of the lens, Thats good. I would take a cuttoff wheel and cut the head off. Like Hoppy said, grab the screw shaft with pliars or vise grips
Are the rest of them out already? How many screws? If you cut the head off, will the parts separate ?

How thick is the piece it goes through? As long as that can be pulled off once the head is gone. You have that much of the screw sticking out to grab onto.
Yes this is the last screw. I guess when I cut the head off the lens will come out and I'll have more room to work the screw. Problem solved!!Are the rest of them out already? How many screws? If you cut the head off, will the parts separate ?
I have a Dremel, but not sure if I have a cutting blade. Sounds like a quick run to the hardware store.Sometimes a different /sharper/ newer screwdriver will grab. I know my Klien Phillips will often grab screws that none of my others will. Another thing I do sometimes is use a thin cuttoff and make a slot for a straight blade screwdriver. Dremel works good for that.
Thats what she saidYes this is the last screw
Dremel and slot it.
do you care about the potmetal?potmetal
Either way you do it. Cut a slot, or cut the head off, the screw will need to be replaced...Id cut it off with my 3in cuttoff air tool....I have a Dremel, but not sure if I have a cutting blade. Sounds like a quick run to the hardware store.
i was gonna say if he didnt care about the pot metal to grind it off.Either way you do it. Cut a slot, or cut the head off, the screw will need to be replaced...Id cut it off with my 3in cuttoff air tool....
Nope not using the bezel, just need the lens. This one is in excellent shape and they want crazy money for them. Going on the car to replace the current reproduction lens I have on there now.i was gonna say if he didnt care about the pot metal to grind it off.
yeah, cut it off. run the risk of nicking the potmetal but if you dont care about it, then go for it.Nope not using the bezel, just need the lens. This one is in excellent shape and they want crazy money for them. Going on the car to replace the current reproduction lens I have on there now.
