Stop in for a cup of coffee

Ours was already going to be messed up. Was always a 'farmers fair' in September. Was moved to July this year as it becomes more and more of an over sized carnival every year. The agricultural part is slowly being lost. :BangHead:
I’m curious to see what happens to our Octoberfest, 300,000 plus attend over 3.5 days, according to statistics the city puts out. Considering the county is only 19,000 normal population, it brings a butt load of money in

If county fair cancels here one of the local strawberry farmers will be out a substantial amount of untrackable cash. One of his fields is right across the street from the fairgrounds. Picks the berries about 2 weeks prior to the fair Takes the disc and the fresno to it and makes himself a parking lot

Kinda like the locals around Carlisle that get cash for people parking on there lawns.

Like the statement I quoted for our fair... just impossible for these types of events to comply with CDC or other guidelines

Exactly...which is why they just need to stop pretending like “maybe” they can.

The sooner they make a decision, the sooner people can begin to look for other ways to move forward instead of holding false hope for what “might” be.

You can’t wait until the crops come in to try to decide where you are going to sell them. You need to know what the realistic options are now so you can make a viable plan.

Oh I know. I fully expect it to cancel. Just wondering how long they’ll wait.

I call it the ”Reality stick” and being beaten with it.

What was...was.

What is...is.

Try to ignore what is and pretend you can go back to what was...and the Reality Stick will beat you into a new way of thinking.

Or just beat you to death if you refuse to learn and adapt.

Yup, that pretty much sums it up.
Very fortunate here. Total active cases in manitoba is 16. 4 or 5 days with no new cases.
Total of 300 here. Quebec is 48,000. Plus. Our population is low, and lots of small communities, think thats why it didnt run away here.

Our county has a population of 567,000. 6341 cases and 536 deaths. Total death rate is 8.3% so far.

But that doesn’t tell the whole story. The township next to ours that is the same size of about 17k people has 437 cases and 118 deaths. That’s a 27% death rate. And it’s not being driven by nursing homes, only 14 deaths came from those.

Our township has 103 cases and only 2 deaths.

Point is, if you open large public gatherings, where to you think people are going to flock to there fastest from? Where it is safer or more dangerous?

This is why PA has held parts of the state in lock down even though they have fewer cases. The risk is that they will get a sudden influx of visitors trying to escape from places where it is far worse.

Reality is what it is...and it extends far beyond what most people can see within their immediate range of view.

Back from work today, super long day but the overtime is okay! Man was everybody out today, fishing on the rivers, people everywhere. Not that many people working, just out and about. AND driving like Asshlls as well.

Morning!
First cup almost gone.
Today is the day i drag out my wheel alignment machine, bought in september. Give it a try. Been over 20 years since i last did one.

Good morning all.
Shell production platform offshore has 5 workers testing positive for CV-19.

@Tooljunkie

Finally had some time so I got the door apart and uncovered the wiring and ......

Total of 3 broken wires.

As soon as I connected the big black wire, the power windows and locks work.

Its no fun soldering, heat shrinking the wires, and i add a length of wire so the splice is not where it broke. Twice as long to fix, but worth the effort i think.
Newer caravans have this issue too,and it drives the body control computer nuts.
