Those clamps on the top of the steering couplers are turds to clamp properly.OK found a few issues. Mostly some thing made a hole in the tubing for the vacuum pump to the booster! Some how the steering coupler fell apart. On hold for parts now. Glad I am going through it.
Cruising in cool air conditioned comfort!Today had a 2000 Silverado 5.3, my buddy thought the AC compressor gave up the ghost. Checked it, Got it up on the lift. Has a separate AC belt. Tensioner locked up. Change tensioner, AC belt , Main belt, Add 1/2 lb R134A....All good to go......

As if getting ruined wouldn’t be bad enough, having to get rid of a concrete boulder would suck.Agree....it came down hard, I cannot remember the last time it rained like that in June....
She's a keeper Craig! So I ran across a guy selling a complete 9 piece set of 1967 Barracuda convertible chrome. You find a piece for sale here and there for sale, but never a whole set. Add them all up, usual over 1K for a set. He wants $400. Its all stainless except for the two transition pieces which are pot metal and pit. These as are pitted but can be cleaned up. Anyway, as I've learned from hanging around you guys, cheaper is always better...right?? I explain it to Cheryl that I am trying to buy it $75 cheaper. She looks at me with the look, and asks have you ever seen a whole set for sale?? Well no, and responds in more words than I'm printing, well just give him full price and quite being a cheap ***. Ok done. I love a wife who supports my car addiction!!
Just got back from commissary, one thing I was trying to get was a 5-8 lb brisket. None on the shelf so asked the stocker, told her come back with the smallest she had. She did, 16 lbs. I'm nervous lol! I've screwed up more of those than I've had come out, don't have a smoker that will do them, so will attempt the propane grill again (with hickory wood chips for drop in smoke box. I think I'll have to start it at around 6 a.m. Beer!!!
