Stop in for a cup of coffee

I brought the valiant in, my lovely cousin pushed it while I did the steering. He might have pushed it faster than I would have drove it through the yard.

I forgot how big this car actually is.
I'm convinced early As are bigger than the latter ones.
Not in my driveway they weren’t. The ‘66 from Tim was slightly smaller and lighter than my ‘69. The difference in size was definitely obvious.

IMO 2 inches makes a large difference.....In the engine bay......

So I was wrong. A pallet is 135.00 dollars. 10 pallets is 10 yards. I have been buying 2 pallets at a time...hence my mix up....
Quite a difference in price up here in canuckistan...

9.5 yards is what a truck will hold. A pallet of 60 lb redi mix, same thing. 56 60 lb bags. 1200 for truck, 360 for redi mix!!! Yep a big difference!!!

Short loads cost more $$$ per yard than full loads. It costs the same for the ready mix company to ship 3 cu yds as it does to haul 10 cu yds, hence the $$$/yd difference. Another thing to consider is the unloading time on the job. We allowed 5 minutes/yd to unload, after that it added 1$/minute to the bill (stand by time). There were freight zones, distance between job and plant, that influence $$$ also.

Why I mix my own.....

My dad was a ready mix plant operator also and had more building skills than I ever thought of having. He could do just about anything, he did call the pros for electrical. Wasn't unusual for him to tell me when we had concrete to do in the back yard, "Go find a good sand wash, take my pickup, no rock over 1", and fill the truck up to this level." He would fill a barrel or 2 out of the plant with cement and I would mix concrete and push wheel barrow after wheel barrow.

100% I’ve spotted her scamp around here for awhile. I love seeing older people driving a-bodies looking like they have for 50+ years
She prolly bought it new. I really can't see an elderly person buying a restored one on ebay but you never know

Yes 1 started good, was starting to climb the twine and a deer came along and decided it needed a belly ache. That killed it. Pissed me off. I will buy some more next year and put an electric fence around them, now that I know I can get them to grow.
Well, that sucks that the deer ate it... If you are planning to brew with them eventually, I'd probably do something other than the Magnum. It is considered a bittering hop. I don't think much of that is normally used. TMM could probably give a better recommendation since I don't brew. (I just drink - lol)

I like to grow fruit trees, trees etc. Would be a plus to have something that I can sell off them though.

Not sure exactly what it takes to sell them. Hoppy had a dehumidifier setup to dry them out. I think he made more $ selling rhizomes than he did on the hops.
