Speaking of building stores, Advance Auto is building one less than a mile away from me. That might be pretty handy.
The closest one to me is a Federated maybe a mile away. Ive only been in there a couple tumes...Just a little farther I have Advance, AZ and NAPA within a couple buildings of each other. Pep boys is not far off the path on the way to work. Had a couple more mom and pop types fold up in town over the last couple years. What we don’t have yet is ORileys

Yes, we will see virtually ALL Small Independent Parts Stores disappear. Surprised there are so many left around....I saw the handwriting on the wall 20 years ago. These days the Independents that want out ,are almost giving their life savings away...Don't get me started..... :soapbox::soapbox:

agreed. We still have two local ones, what keeps them in business is they carry AG parts for tractors and farm equipment. Only ones within 100 miles that do, other than dealerships. Farmers can't always wait 2-7 days for parts, usually when something breaks, we need it that day.

Yup, when everything is broke down, its not too far to walk for parts. i had to lug a starter about 6 miles. Was late evening and no traffic. That sucked.

This lilac bush took a hit in one of our recent storms. Decided the best course of action was to let it start over. Took the last hour and turned it into 2 sacks of mulch.

Just chop it to the ground and it comes back? I have one that needs to be cleaned up.
Pretty much. My theory (which seems to usually work) if the plant is healthy, it will survive. If it ain’t, it needs removed anyway. I do try to leave some shoots with leaves.

Many times during my personal landscaping endeavors I thought to myself, "Somewhere in the world, this thing is a weed that the indigenous peoples can't get out of their way fast enough. I just paid money to plant it on purpose."

Got another AC job in the shop. Same 94 C1500 I'm putting the custom grille in. This one also needs everything, Compressor, Drier, Flush, Orifice tube, Etc Etc .....
