So the old chevy we are putting the vortec in with a/c had an issue at the condensor. Some gorilla overtightened the one fitting and pulled threads. Now stuck in the nut. I make a tool to fix!
May hand it off to hvac guy when he comes to finish it up.

One of my favorite tricks for those thread sizes you know no one will have a chaser for.

The Mc Guiver thread chaser. Fixed many a bunged up threads that way. Softer than a tap. Not as easy to break off in the hole. You just need to fix the threads not make new ones. I sold scads of re-threader sets on the tool truck. There were ones for spark plugs and A/C threads as well.

Had to figure out the tube part, as it needed to fit in the chaser.
Another good reason to have a lathe.

Evening all. In answer to someones question, yes we are now seeing the affects of the Sahara dust in the atmospher.
As far as what rich people will pay for something, "a fool and his money are soon parted"
Dang I know I had some money somwhere....
My sister is getting married this weekend, kind worried about the effects it’ll have here. I doubt it’ll be much but I did seal up the poly carb today and my 408. They both had air cleaners so I just put a thick Mylar bag over them and duct taped it tight

Well the neighbor had told me he liked Dusters, tonight let me know he found one that he's getting tomorrow if "it's still there" (Portland OR). It's a 75 slant 6 with a manual, all original and says no rust! Said the guy is "asking some coin" but thinks it's not crazy priced. He has a 72 Mustang now (for sale- kinda rare) and has had many vehicles/types from VW to a 340 Duster years ago. I hope he gets it, will keep you posted.

I just saw something hilarious in our back yard. We have a contractor doing the stone on our outdoor fireplace, he has his dog running around. Every night about this time several deer make a track across our property and jump the neighbors fence continuing on. It was a back and forth with the dog and the deer, dog chases the deer then the deer runs on the dog. Fortunately no antlers on this one but I'm sure the deer could inflict some damage with it's hooves.

Well my wife is telling me the Fajitas are ready so gotta go! Have a Great Evening All!
Burgers on the grill. Cucumbers sliced with onions, vinegar, sugar, and oil. Radishes and green onions. And of course for me, Tito's and tonic!

So say you bought a car that came from the factory with a big block and 4 speed. The thing is it has non of the above when you buy it. Would it be sacrilege to install a small block and automatic in it seeings a how that is all you had?
Think 69 Roadrunner 383/a833 car to a 360/a904.

I have put slant sixes into original 318 cars to get them running. What difference does it make and at the end of the day it's yours so do what you want.

My 71 scamp is an original 318 car but now has a slant six and I'm keeping it like that permanently, because I wanted another slant six car.

Run what you got. It could never be numbers matching without deep pockets.
