Stop in for a cup of coffee

We pulled the other platform. So in transit to another one. 2 lifts already cut and sitting on the bottom. One more cut and 3 lifts onto the barge and that platform will be gone as well.
Next one after that is going to take a while. At least 2 300ton lifts on it. The crane is rated for 500 tons so we should be good.

Not really following... What do you mean by 'cutting lifts' I thought it was like a boat with legs and you just retracted them.... And what exactly is on the bottom?

We are pulling up to platforms in the gulf we jack up out of the water and we are removing old platforms that have the wells plugged and abandoned. This is the last part of the process. When finished and legs or casings are removed 15' below the mud line you cant tell there was a platform there.

So we cut the old platforms into managable sizes to be lifted onto a barge, welded down and sent in to be recycled or turned into artificial reefs.

So, what happens to the platform? You gotta haul them in to shore for scrap?

We do a different job with almost every client. Reconstruction, rezoneing, plug and abandon, repair to pipelines, transport wind generator parts, etc.
