Stop in for a cup of coffee

Rav 4 wasnt a wheel bearing. I wasnt sure. So i grabbed my kit, clamped microphones on all 4 hub mounts and went for a ride. Then on rear diff, center support for rear driveshaft and transmission output. Still couldnt pinpoint. So put sensors on calipers and right front axle support. Four times on hoist, four road tests. Finally, right axle is the culprit.

Those are handy.

Be making my third trip to the fabric store tomorrow. After I disassembled the second bucket seat, I see I will need new burlap and felt. Always something. Hopefully I can get the new covers on tomorrow. The frames were very rusty, so I wire brushed the sh** out of em, and hit em with some paint..

Great news! The province of manitoba is switching to code red. Hospitals are nearing capacity. About 3 months too late.

I was being sarcastic...
And im backing off on work schedule. No strangers in my shop,no visitors either.
Holy crap, I was just looking at our county data after your posts. From April 1 thru October 15th, we had just 31 cases. 1 death.

since October 15th... we’ve had 1741 cases, 31 deaths. 3 in the last 24 hours. Holy hell.

they’ve tested 18746 individuals. Our county only is a shade over 19,000. So wth

So i discovered a most satisfying noise. When a printer/scanner hits the cement floor with some velocity!
Powered it up (before i dispatched it) and it started making all kinds of horrible noises. So i did what any self-respecting man would do. I put it out of its misery.
And you wonder why we get along!

Yeah, it's getting real...

What happened to this virus "disappearing" like a certain someone keeps talking about...

We can't have more than 10 people in a group in IL with our latest numbers, dine in is banned right now....

If we don't get it under control, the hospitals will be over loaded and people will be left to die...

Did you get in with it ??

If a car would fit in a tub, I could see you taking a bath with it... :D

Ok now, let's get this straight:

If I asked you to take a bath with me, you would refuse...

But if I had a bath tub that a car could fit in, you would help me "wash" the car in the bath... :steering:

So if I had a tub that could fit a car in, you would take a bath with me.... :welcome:

Ok, I got some remodelling to do... :D

Its blowing up here in manitoba.
From 20s-30s a few months ago to 400 plus daily cases. Our province’s premier has been sitting on his hands, and the health minister is taking shots at the medical professionals. The doctors have been requesting action for a month.they were predicting this. 9 seniors passed away in one care home alone. 3 in one day at the same place.

Yep, true leaders would have planned for this and make sure that there is a good supply of masks, gloves, ventilators, etc to cover this new wave...

No, they all sat on their asses all summer wishing it would go away, instead of preparing to treat it when it flares up again... And now they are going to blame the doctors who they didn't listen to... :realcrazy:

I see a few flashes of lightening and just heard my first thunder...

The storm's blowing it... We're supposed to get some real whiz-bangers tonight...

I got my stout into ferment. Sure did smell good. Malted barley, chocolate malt, oats and 2 kinds of liquid malt extract.

So like using the presidents emergency powers to make companies manufacture those items? Or shutting the borders and travel to affected countries?

news flash, not a single country on earth has been able to stop this, orange man nor Biden will be able to either

If you live in a house with other people and one test positive it doesn't matter if the others do or not they count the others as positive. If someone is in a nursing home eating in the dining room with other residents and test positive then the others are counted also as a probable positive. More numbers.
For a covid test CDC says the considered test infection rate is 34 or lower. Kansas set their own standard higher than CDC at 42. So according to the CDC anyone over 34 is not considered infected to the point of requiring treatment. Kansas at 42, is counting a lot more infections, higher numbers, making it sound much worse than what it might be.
I still go and do what I do, wear a mask, wash my hands, and keep my distance. I'm not sure why they are playing this up. So far more than 80% of the deaths are people over 70 with underlying conditions. We do need to take precautions, hopefully a vaccine helps. I don't know, we have the flu vaccine every year and they consider it 50% effective with 40-50K deaths across the US.
Just be smart and be safe.

I don't take sides, but I think they worked on a vaccine all summer.
As far as control in the US, it's up to the state leadership to coordinate their response.
Some states have been better than others.

PA shows the new case rate going up every day. But what they don't show unless you look it up is that the number of tests go up at a much higher rate. Last several days we are around 3000 or higher. Way up from a week or so earlier. But in last week or so it went from 40K to 50K tests per day... Almost impossible to tell what is really trending.

Yes, Except they have been working on the vaccine since day one... Nothing anyone in office does at this point is getting it done any faster. They have the funds and I believe the rules/red tape have been minimized to allow them to move as fast as they can.
