I got a spam call on my cell phone at 2:23 am. 
I was in the middle of a good dream too. Once I got back to sleep I was dreaming I was In Fla. by myself on vacation and lost my cell phone, wallet, and checkbook. I fought all night long getting back home and getting things back to normal. No one would give me a ID because I didn't have one. It's funny how your mind works.

Big day, ...just got a FedEx notice my 3/8" header flanges are arriving today. Got a bunch of 1-7/8" tubing sitting here also. Planning a header build. May take me forever!!

If they are bare now (not painted) I would use slip plate on them.
Not familiar with that stuff. Is it a primer pre-coat or a type of finish?

If i recall, its a graphite spray.
Its a graphite dry lube keeps cast parts looking brand new. Posi Ron turned me on to it does a incredible job an high heat it is fine with also. Google it for pics.

Yes, I'll certainly post photos. I heavily modified some long tube headers into mid length years ago, but this is the first time from scratch. Looking forward to it.
But you can also buy it in a tub to rub on, if your manifolds are on the car , and you dont want to make a mess, right ?
