No push buttons for this kid

My dad loved push button transmissions... He was a lefty, they were made for lefties being on that side of the steering wheel....

He had a 62 sport Fury convertible with a 361 4 bbl... He loved 'typing' down the drag strip with that...

To unscrew the bowl (the portion of the crusher above that large casting holding all the springs where the rotating crusher head is mounted) we had one of each of these pulling on 1" cables with no success

When we finally got it apart through the use of a numerous propane burners we found a 1/2" nut that had managed to find a way into the threads between the bowl and the frame :BangHead:

I'm doin some fun stuff today. Rear carpet extension in and upper trim for quarter boards. Then make the cut outs on the quarter boards and install them. Then I can get the newly recovered rear seats off the floor and into the car....Pics to follow....More BEER Please....

I think I got my well pump all sealed up. New fittings (again), thread tape and lots of paste sealant... Still need to try opening the air valve on the bladder and see if any water comes out. Pretty sure I will be replacing the pressure tank. But that can wait a little while -like probably after Christmas.
