Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hi Dave... Good to see you back... :welcome:

I like hearing your perspective on the virus situation, you've got a little more info on it than we do...
AND if you recover, there are long term health issues we are still trying to figure out. Yep, you do not necessarily fully recover... ask me how I know.....

You ever get your smelling ability back? One of the nurses my wife works with still can’t smell or taste anything and she recovered back in April

Dave if i recall, you had an issue with your eyesight?
I cant afford to lose any more vision. Closed my left eye while i was driving today. I cant see ****.

Like something sitting on my chest......And sense of taste/smell.....Among other things...

I have my taste and smell back, but I get winded just walking from one end of my house to the other, or when I try to carry something medium heavy...

I get the sore eyes once in a while, but using Dave's advice, I go out in the sun and it goes away...

When I was on the swim team in high school, I could swim a 200 yard IM and be out of breath, but back to normal breathing in a minute or two when in shape in middle of the season... Now I am gasping for air just walking too far or trying to carry things....

I used to love the out of breath feeling after swimming the IM...

When the crud hit my office population, i was lucky to be on vacation.

The other problem is that I have no idea what is with this generation but they are huggers. Two girls I work with hugged a guy who had it and now they have it.

Even before covid, I never hug anyone, 6 feet is not enough personal space for me and I'm thinking that has helped me escape it so far.

Ruh-Roh!
Y”all can have thong thursday.i got my fargo parts for tomorrow.
Have a little to deal with first though.

Have you had a chest X ray? I’m curious if you have scar tissue in your lungs. I do from histoplasmosis and it took me forever to feel normal again

No, I haven't been to a doctor in almost a year... I lost my insurance coverage when I was let go from the steel warehouse...

I ran up more doctor bills than I could cover before I left trying to figure out my swallowing/choking problem... The doctors never figured it out, just said that they thought it was a 'sensation' thing... Then wanted to send me to more doctors... Why waste the time if they can't figure it out???

Plus my insurance was supposed to be 10% co-pay and they didn't cover the 90% that they were supposed to and left me hanging....

And my father in law retired...

I’m the same way. The being away from others part. It’s why I don’t like concerts, or crowded areas. Never have. I’d be perfectly content sitting up in a tree by myself as opposed to standing in a crowd of hundreds of people. Even my desk at work, I have it walled off and isolated. Just drives me nuts otherwise

Check with your local health department, they are offering free ones to recovered Covid patients for study.

I agree. I never even liked shaking hands, took a long time before i could bring myself to do it. I rarely shook anyones hand before i was 40. Just not the touchy type.
