I used this stuff on the control arms. But I feel like its chipping way too easily.

I sanded everything down to bare metal. Then wiped it down with B12 to remove any grease or oil residue.

Is that where I went wrong, maybe?

Or did I leave the surface too smooth?

What temp was the surface you were painting and what temp was the paint...

Too cold may have trouble properly adhering....

Hello insomniacs.... :welcome:

Another chiro appt today.... Here comes two to three more days of pain... :realcrazy:

Morning!
At least is not minus a billion this morning, 5f.
Had a dream i lost my keys, and my phone. Nope, still got them.

So I learned do not stop by a frinds house who is a car guy for just a minute yesterday. Two hours later got home. Oh well. I did get that ignition (ecu) tester synced up with the sun machine. Pretty cool , can actually see what the ecu is actually doing real time at rpm's. Wow there is definitely a difference with them. I can take a video but have no way to post it and I dont want a you tube account to do it.

Maybe a kind soul would be willing to post it up on their youtube account..

Prob. I tried a vid and it is way to dark, can only see the plugs firing at best. Kind of like this I can get actual numbers with different parts like coils, ballast, ecu's etc. Going to see if my scope can be hooked up also. Dam it will look like a bowl of spagetti! Wires everywhere!
@Mattax would love this.

I learned something new yesterday that I am guilty of. You cannot just replace Dot 3 brake fluid with silicone fluid. If there is even one drop of 3 in the system it will seriously swell all the rubber parts it comes in contact with. Only way to add silicone is in a completely new system. My friend had examples of what it will do. I never knew that and have done it. He is friendly with a major antique brake rebuilder and if you plan on using it you have to let them know so the parts are assembled with silicone. I was blown away by it.

I have read about the silicone brake fluid, always read about flushing, but never read about reactions if dot 3 was present. And never a mention of using in a 100% new system only.

i do know power steering fluid destroys a brake system in very short order...guy says brake line leaks, and there is a couple litres in back seat. He was filling it with p/s fluid. What a mess.

Think I'll do a video on the Korean Quarantine experience, and post it on my YouTube Channel. Got my GoPro with me...
Don't post it though until your out of country, or you might piss em' off and be delayed a year or so.

I have to get some pics of the parts he took off that it happened to. He flushed it all out before also. Freaking cups are like sponges, lines are basically swelled closed. Expensive mistake, 54 Hudson. He is like you Frank has a shop at his home and is really good on new stuff and super knowledgeable.
