I've increased mine big time about 6 months ago.. About 2/3rds of my check goes into mine right now.. Its growing nicely, but Im doing this because of our future plans.
Just talked to Hoppy, Ray. Am thinking of bringing a 20ft sea crate cross country to his place....in July...Using one of my new trailers. BUT........They are both being used to make money with FEMA. My brother gets 5.00 a mile hauling for FEMA!!!

Keep it up. A quarter million $$'s sounds like a lot but not to live off of in 20+ years.

yep, completely agree. I also think eventually this eviction pause will burst a big bubble. Plus the housing market right now is taking on a 06/07 run up again

Should have said completely agree. It won’t be enough. That’s just my IRA, combined with my 401ks & possibly my guard pension, I think I’ll be ok. But the big advantage, I’ll have both VA health care and tricare for life, which is 30 bucks a month for me and a spouse at age 62 and beyond, 360 a month between 55-61 and 1100 a month from the time I retire, around age 40 thru age 54. That’s all family rates and 0 deductibles. Got it all last weekend in writing. I’m 3 years from when I can retire from the guard. Not sure how long I can make it. There’s a chance I can still go Officer, quadruple my retirement. But that comes with an 8 yr requirement. So I don’t know, plus I’d have to clear medically a flight physical. The seizures likely prevent that one.
if not, I likely will get some type of VA disability for the knee injuries and the back. Plus they diagnosed me with tinnitus last year at my Guard physical so who knows.
