In Kansas, at least when I was working, keys had to be in the ignition (vehicle engine on or off) and suspect in the drivers seat for a DUI charge. Of course we could exercise discretion and I often did generally based on their attitude.

Attitude is everything. I just remember how he told it to me. Very well could have had keys in ignition. Just seemed odd that in your own driveway they could pull in and ticket you..

Usually on private property no we couldn't arrest you for a DUI. I'm sure there are more facts to this story.
 
So I'm sound asleep a half hour ago when I was woke up. She says it's snowing outside, to my reply of I should care why?? She replies we didn't cover the plants before we went to bed, to my reply of you said it wasn't getting that cold and the snow was melting at day break. She says well maybe they need to be covered. I said you have six flower beds pick one. She did, I covered them and now I'm here...ugh!!

Lol . Main reason I don't plant till mothers day.
Buy a cheap harbour freight green house for the new place. Word of caution. They are not as easy to install as they say.
I always follow the rule of 50 in the spring and fall. In spring 7 straight nights of 50. Or above then your good. In the fall reverse it,, cause it's game over then.,snow and cold on the way

25 degrees to start. Might go to 35. Hope sun comes out. Fargo doesent like this temp much, choke is finnicky.

Man your like my daughter in Alaska, don't know how you do that. Although now that she is an empty nester she will probably spend more winters here.
 
Praying mantis baby eggs came yesterday 1k in eggs. Neigbors will love me.
Lantern bugs are rampant up here.

Back then i didnt know any different. Then the wife won a caribbean cruise. Now i dont care for winter so much.

Had to google. So the mantis kills the lantern bugs?
We get praying mantis up here, they are cool.

These come up every year on their own we don't plant anything anymore. They'll survive, might not look as nice.
 
I used to use them and lady bugs on the Hops fied for aphids, between that and Neem oil no issues at a. Neem oil is freaking great also as a skin insect repelent.

My grandson is staying up there he is going to run my daughter's business when she's not there. That's the plan anyway.
