Stop in for a cup of coffee

CalTrans has a bridge R&R job going on US 101 not far from here. They have been re-aligning the ramps for about the last 4 months and just now getting to the bridge itself. Seeing as how 101 is the north south route closest to the coast it's a little busy. I'm sure they will have to demolish one side at a time to keep traffic moving. So the bridge crew moved in recently. One of the first things they do, tear down the power lines adjacent to the bridge with a crane. :BangHead: Not the best start they could have

Nice! Stuff like that gives me work but it's usually an excavator digging up fiber somewhere and my communications equipment goes down. That job will probably take 3x what they "estimated" and "budgeted".

Was @dukeboy_318 's brother there????

Just got back from a nearby garage sale, scored a compression tester, Sun timing light, Sun dwell meter. Don't have anything now that needs dwell but prolly will someday.
Save it for a few years, then you than think about the day you bought it. Call it dwelling on the past...

So i messaged about my missing muffler again. 24 hours ago. No reply. So i sent an e-mail. If i dont hear from them next week im going to contact my cc company and see what can be done.

And shop crane wont fit between the jack stands. I need to relocate them.

Went back out and worked on truck for a couple hours. Transmission is out. Have to pull brake master, and loosen clutch pedal, then with a little luck engine should fall out. I would like to set the v8 in there tomorrow, hopefully with the headers on.

If no one hears from me ever again and find my body, it was my wife. Seriously think she’s gonna murder me in my sleep as mad as she is at me right now lol.

and I’m likely to make it worse tomorrow.

What did you do now?

Dude, it’s been 3 months of this. Basically I’m breathing? If you really want details, I’ll pm ya. But it’s a saga that really is mind boggling.

Really though, I love my wife. We’ve been together for 17 years. We hit these bumps from time to time but lately, the bumps have been like mountains. I’m sure we can work thru it but it’s mostly compounded by us both being home 24/7 and around each other so much without a break. From our kids or each other. Teleworking sucks in that aspect.
