Good Morning All! Wreck near Deception Pass Bridge on my way home last night, airlift the whole thing, took 3 1/2 hours to get home in a normal 50 minute drive. Some weird story about someone's oxygen running out then head on collision etc. I made it tho!!!
Glad it wasn’t on the bridge! That is one narrow old bridge right there. It is a lonnnnnnng way down to the swirling water, spooky if you walk out on it and look down. For those that have never seen it it is very cool. Last I knew not a single jumper has ever been recovered from that bridge. The water is very angry there.

I know of only one survivor and a friend from work while I was in the Navy pulled him out. Was headed out under the bridge, heard a splash and turned around. Jumper had written a suicide note found on his bike which he rode to the bridge. My friend took him to Coronet Bay where he had launched, many broken bones but the guy lived.

CalTrans has a bridge R&R job going on US 101 not far from here. They have been re-aligning the ramps for about the last 4 months and just now getting to the bridge itself. Seeing as how 101 is the north south route closest to the coast it's a little busy. I'm sure they will have to demolish one side at a time to keep traffic moving. So the bridge crew moved in recently. One of the first things they do, tear down the power lines adjacent to the bridge with a crane. :BangHead: Not the best start they could have

Nice! Stuff like that gives me work but it's usually an excavator digging up fiber somewhere and my communications equipment goes down. That job will probably take 3x what they "estimated" and "budgeted".

101 through this neighborhood was mostly a late 50s early 60s project. That bridge has to be close to 60 years old. The CalTrans primary/lame excuse for it's replacement, it's not wide enough for "bike lanes" . I wonder if I know the right guy at CalPortland the contractor to get him to let me crash the falsework when the time comes

I think mine is OK. Had read others online that say. “ Don’t do timing belt- find another motor and just swap it. “Lol
I have done a few, caravan 3.0 v6 wasnt easy but its do-able.
If i pull the motors out of the parts cars, the low mileage one will get a new belt while its out.

Good morning. That bridge over the Mississippi has been cracked about 5 years. A boater took a picture of it in 2015 I think...No, 2016...

Changed the coil. Ran good. I did run it briefly to move in front of garage first. So did have a tiny warm up. Will see tonight when I start it to come home. Has been stumbling almost every time.
I forgot I was going to pick up some new plugs and do at same time, but that't a better job for Sunday when I have more time. Plus, wife ain't home and have some stuff apart on Duster. So, no other vehicle to get to work if I run into any issues.
