One of the kids might dig it though
Yea. Did I tell you that my wife didn’t believe the part of my tractor pull story that said my daughter identified the hemi as a hemi because of the wires in the valve covers?

Well so since my wife didn’t believe me, I went and found 4 images of supercharged big blocks, chevy a Ford a 505/440 based RB and a supercharger hemi. Put them side by side on the big monitor and had my wife ask my daughter which was the hemi. Took her half a second to point to the hemi. When asked how, she looked at my wife and again, said because of these wire thingys by the valve boxes

I need to muster up enough energy to clean up and put away around here. I have vacation bourbon shopping spree to put away. I really need another empty shelf downstairs. (like that is going to happen LOL) I need to clean some of the glassware out of the cabinet up here. I have 7 new Glen Carin's to find a home for. And my flite board. I need a bar. LOL

The week before the Winter Nationals way back when, Famoso had the Budweiser Tune Up. Lots of the pros always showed up for the track time. Took my 6 year old daughter. The old work partner smoked Winstons, special offer "Buy a pack of Winstons get a free Winston Tee Shirt!". Got the smokes for Jack, put the tee shirt on Megan, handed her a Sharpie, "Go get yourself signed." and followed her around the pits as she collected autographs. She slept in that shirt for months, wouldn't let us wash it. Force, Densham, Prudhome, Garlits, she had 'em all.

Well he made it. RAGBRI, a week long bike ride across the state. Wednesday he had a crash and he McGuivere'd his bike back together so it only had 1 gear. (He broke the rear derailleur off the frame. You start by dipping your tire in the Missouri River on one side of the state and then in the Mississippi on the other with a lot of fun in between.

So decision time. Ist picture is existing shifter.
2nd is pistol grip I bought and the seller dropped it in a USPS baggy.
No bubble wrap zip zero, nada. But he did take the time to write Fragile on the package. surprised the grips weren't busted.
3rd is the good one I have.
So aside from the condition of the two choices.
Do I shorten the one. Or add about 2 inches to the short e body shifter.

Personally I like the longer pistol grip. That comes from my truck driving days. I’m not a big fan of shorty shifters. That said, the nostalgia in me says run the que ball

Got my car back from the shop this morning and on the way home, It got a little hot and it started to hiss just a bit.
When they were pulling back into the shop after the test drive, the heater core popped and made lake Elsinore in the floorpan.

Just by pass it.

All you have to do is block both sides of heater hose. On engine. You do not have to connect the ends together. Makes sense?
Yes. That was the next thing to do after I got it back from the shop. remove the wiper mechanism and motor, (broken) The heater controls, and heater core, (also broken) then put in a gauge pod. just one more thing to deal with.
