On another web site. People listen to this crap
You can usually tell if you have a rear main seal leak by connecting a mechanical oil pressure gauge when the engine is cold and test the pressure, it should be around 60-80 PSI, of course give tolerence for age. Then let the truck warm up you can drive it to do so, then go back and connect the mechanical gauge, the pressure should be around 40 at idle if it's lower most likely you have a leak. don't use the oil pressure gauge that is built into the truck because they're not always accurate, you're better off using an old fashion mechanical gauge.
So I have heard. The track was absolute garbage. Like crumbling apart. I can see why the NHRA pulled out I honestly think this may be one of the last Nats at National Trail Raceway. Tons of racers complaining about the safety of the truck. Dodge didn’t even sponsor the Nats this year
So I have heard.
Not here. They’re all asphalt around hereThat's why wherever possible the Interstates are concrete. Maintenance free for a minimum of 20 years. Asphalt, not so much.
YeahThat's good for the paving contractors. Steady work.
I hate classic industries. Rude *** peopleWell, going to have to contact Pay pal about the non fitting anti sway bar from Classic industries. Contacted them two weeks ago and up loaded pictures showing the issue. " Well get right back" Called 4 times. Same response....sad....
Our weather is so mild round here asphalt does out live the normal lifespan. US 101 through here in Y2K I spent all summer 5 and 6 nights per week supplying that black stuff for the first overlay the old concrete had seen since the early 60s. They did some rather extensive work to the old concrete to stabilize the sub grade. Every day I was trying to sleep, the day shift had this giant jack hammer kinda thing fracturing the concrete and after a vibratory compactor had it's way with it. I felt a good share of that pounding at the house. It's holding up well. The CALTRANS Lab Rats did their homework and used an oil that was not in their statewide specs. That oil formula is very short lived with many drawbacks, but it's in the spec book so that's what they use . One of their inspectors brought me a mix one day, looked at it, handed it back, "This isn't going to last 2 years." "But that's how they do it in Europe." was his response. "Well this ain't Europe." 2 weeks later they amended it to a more stable mix. I knew I had been supplying that stuff too long when I could tell the superintendent on the job almost exactly how much black top they would need the next night.
Thank you RobMornin yall. Stephen good to see you bud.
