Quiet here in the valley this morning. The borate bombers working that fire moved to another airfield closer to the fire.

So anyone know how to spec out a camshaft with a micrometer to verify it against a cam card? I’m watched a couple YouTube clips but still have questions
Got a lathe or a live center? You can mic the lobe lift and compare that buy not the duration or overlap without a degree wheel and a dial indicator.

Guess I’m buying a degree wheel. I have a brand new comp cam and I’ve been seeing lots of reports of a huge drop in QC on all their stuff. Makes me nervous

well ****. I just got new 901 valve springs from them last week.
And I'm getting a cam in the next few weeks.

Yeah I bought my cam back In July.
Buddy local to me with a similar cam had things way out of spec. Couldn’t even bolt on the cam gears, and the lobes were off by several degrees.

I just went everywhere trying to get 318 rod bolts.
Everyone lists them but they don't have them..
All on back order.
Today a set popped up on E rape.
I grabbed those..
