Stop in for a cup of coffee

@Mopar Tim OK, excuse my ignorance, but you can't pull the GV off with everything in the car? Is it due to the modifications you had to do to the car doesn't allow it, or what is the issue? If an upper fastener, I personally would find a way to get at it before pulling the whole drivetrain out. Also, it doesn't allow removing the transmission and GV? or is that due to the routing of the exhaust? If exhaust, then I would consider cutting pipes and using the band clamps at reassembly. Things need to be able to be taken apart or removed without removing the entire drivetrain. No offense, but issues later can be helped/solved sooner than later.

Hell, I would use a hole saw to have access to that hole and use a body plug to fill it when done.

All good questions. I had to heavily modify the trans tunnel to get GV unit to fit in a early A body. The top bolts on the GV to housing are inaccessible , to far up and hidden completely. And again the issue with removing the tailshaft, which you have to do to remove the GV unit, not good because of the same issue, no room to slide it back. Cannot get enough tilt to clear the tunnel. AND the new exhaust is a problem as well, but that is just another pain... Considering taking it to Oceanside Transmissions and let them have a look at it.....

Something so simple can be such a pain! I mean, I built the whole dang car. I really do not want to pull the engine or trans again. REALLY.

I am going to use two of those....Thanks, was on my list...
Tim. I have a feeling someone made a model of your car, kept something small from your car to put inside, and sits in their garage at night sticking pins in it and chanting incantations.

Just talked to Stan, the transmission builder. He told me, the rear servo spring he uses can be left in, with the cheetah valve body, no problem. WOW. something goes right!!.

One time... In band clamp...

Hey Hop. May hit you up on those. I have to do some assessment on how I want to approach my exhaust work...it's 2" pipe.
Hey I got a truck with an exhaust leak. Think that band clamp will work ???????:rofl:
