Contractors are notorious for “dropping the ball”
Yes, I was in the Auto Parts Business for almost 30 years, as an owner. Yes, It is always about being respectable, reliable and competent...I do have sympathy for contractors. My dad was a custom home builder. It's more about saying what you mean and meaning what you say
Belvedere. Sorry. I must have a Dodge.
Afternoon.
Yo Ray...How goes it ???Afternoon.
Damn, Went to weld up this hole in an exhaust system, and I gots no gas left. Bet my Son used it in my absence..
Had a guy use a small one to power the dump trailer he used to deliver a load.
I learned a long time ago to check the connection at the regulator, soapy water. I can almost guarantee every bottle leaked at the reg. Because, it has to be damn tight to not bubble. So if you is welding for an hour or so, and its leaking, would you not want to know? Thats the point. Free welding gas.Ya, But I always always turn off the tank valve when finished welding.....
Last place I worked, I got a new welder. I was the only one that used it and I was sure it was tuned off when not using. 1st tank went WAY too fast. Turned out the cyl fitting had a nick in. They gave me a free replacement and it lasted months…So if you is welding for an hour or so, and its leaking, would you not want to know? Thats the point. Free welding gas.
Usually only weld for 15 mins or so. So theres that......besides, Im POSITIVE it wasnt leaking at the regulator connection....So if you is welding for an hour or so, and its leaking, would you not want to know? Thats the point. Free welding gas.
