Stop in for a cup of coffee

My area is 40-50 mph through midnight. Farmer country north of us get the big winds today.
We have a large open meadow for a mile south of us, so it picks up some power.
That's gonna blow.

Wednesday- Friday today. Taking a couple days to get projects done. Basically only working 4 more days until January....
Hopefully you don't add more to the list than what you get done, like I usually do.
Good Morning folks, how’s the Coffee Crew?
Barely awake, but thanks for asking!
Good Morning

So....I go out to my favorite little restaurant out in the country, I get out of the truck and as I walk toward the door I look through the window and there is this young guy standing in front of the cash register pointing what looked like a gun at my favorite waitress. I start my plan and move closer and then I see it is a infrared thermometer. SO I go in and walk past and casually say. I almost shot you and kept going. He said what? I said I almost shot you. You are standing there pointing what looks like a gun at Liz. I made up my mind it was not going to happen. I told him had I NOT been able to know what you are holding because I have one, I would have stopped you. We all laughed I went and sat down and thought to myself....damn that was scary

Mine is yellow but this one was black
My Fluke is half yellow, but we have a cheapie at work that is all dark gray or black. We also have one intended for takeing peoples temps that is white

What does it do Chris?
Water Methanol injection. Basically a vaporized mist of water mixed with methanol which cools the air and fuel charge under boost. Lowers cylinder temps to prevent melting or detonation. Can be used on high compression engines that aren’t boosted too

Alcohol injection
Not fully. Not in the traditional way one thinks of alcohol injection. Most related that phrase to the type fuel. In this case, you’re not adding fuel so much as you are adding water to cool the temps. The mix doesn’t really do much fuel wise as it’s such a small amount of alcohol, it won’t affect that. The alcohol mix just makes the water have a higher boiling point.

We actually found that the 3 dollar a gallon windshield wiper fluid worked just as good as the 20’dollar a gallon snow juice they sell

Well another audit day for us, those of you familiar with SQF we are in day two of an unannounced audit (tier two). It is kind of like a colonoscopy with no meds! They audit all of your paper trails and white glove inspect your entire facility. We are knee deep in a plant expansion so have contractors everywhere with no clue on food safety guide lines. You can tell them every morning but by noon they have forgotten. Every infraction is a deduct in points.

colonoscopy Oh fun! Good thing they put you out. When the gals get their business checked out they don't.
"feet in the stirrups and lets get this done"

Kind of a teaser video but this is the premise.

The one thing I’ll have to see if they compared us with BOTH an intercooler and water meth. The other thing is, we saw much more drastic benefits on the diesel side than the gas engine side. Our theory was that most gas engines when supercharged or turbocharged run between 6-15 pounds of boost. Diesel stock run 25 pounds. When we start building our pulling trucks, the first thing we do is modify the waste gates to pump that boost up to 40-50 pounds. Then as one adds bigger turbos, the boost can hit 60-100 pounds in some cases but it’s more the air flow. It’s more the amount of air not the pressure that actually increases more so then the boost.

Lucky You! :poke: I don't miss ASI audits!
Rat trap dented or out of position and you would think there was a federal crime. Candy wrapper in the freezer? OMG! Everybody to the conference room!
