Stop in for a cup of coffee

Yeah I figured that, I meant as you were looking at the car, is this a new one you bought?
I built it a long time ago. Was a daily driver for a few years. Gave it to my brother. Non mechanical. He tried to do a large bolt conversion and disc brakes. Failed. He is selling his house. His wife passed. So I got the car back not running. Has not moved in 5 years....

Just a small dent. Could have been worse

Good morning all. Might look at the 67 some today. Strange it has no park. So as you might know, my car trailer is a roll back. Tilt deck. So I load car on backwards because of how I will have to unload it with no brakes. To keep the front facing out. Well, I winch it on my trailer, to where I want it, put it in park, there is no emergency brake. Part of the failed brake conversion. Then put deck back down. Next thing I know BANG!! WTF? I look, the car has rolled forward and the rear bumper has hit my tail gate, leaving a small dent!! Ouch!! That is how I found out the park does not engage!!! Another battle scar on my truck...And I was glad my wife was with me, it was a real ***** rolling the car back to where it belonged up the small incline of the trailer. I pushed, she put wheel chock as I went, to keep it from rolling back forward.
That’s why aluminum and trucks don’t mix :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I’m sorry Tim. I couldn’t resist.

now, insert the redneck parking brake, a 2x4 Front and back of tire.

Well I made it home pretty early tonight It's only 11:00 p.m. four girls and I drank one case of 24 tiger beers. I probably drank seven or eight of them myself. Made a video of the small road I have to drive home now because the bridge is out. Will post that in a few days.

Crazy unlit slalom road with no lines?

Love it

Back to the 66. Got back yesterday engine was running a little rougher then usual. So I get my vacuum gauge and go to pull a main vacuum line plug. Smooths out. Dang thing has a leak in it. Put gauge on it anyway and discover timing has moved. Ops. Need to tighten dist better. Back to normal now. Yes I set timing by ear and with a vacuum gauge.

Yep. Manual choke. Vacuum secondaries.
I went smaller striving for midrange horse and milage. I think I succeeded in that. But a 760 cm is good for a mild 440. Or a 408. 440 will not rev high. So large venturies might not be what you need. In my experience guys tend to over carburate

Yeah. Hmmm.

I must say you are in beuityful company this evening as usual sir. Rest well and get up and get moving on a strong walk, hope the sunshine is out for you tomorrow morning

OK have to walk away. Ignition is fine it has a breakup around 2500 or so on the primary carb., ethanol gas from last year. Weird arse issue. Really thinking carb(s) have issues. Was on the phone with his carb rebuilder, man what service he walked two idiots through six pack carb checks, learned alot. He is getting 10 gallons of leaded 11o VP gas $200 now in the am and go from there. Runs fine when the outboard carbs open up at flooring. All stared this year when the shake down run and he seriously blew his muffler up. Sparkey would be proud.
